I'm dutch, and I would have never believed that we would win if you told me beforehand, but yeah, we did win.
Also, we did play shit in the beginnen, our defense was really crappy, but in the second half we did better, but that was because all the brazills freaked out after the first goal from the Netherlands.
And 18% voted here that Brazil would win the world cup, but they won't!
I also hope that germany will against Argetina, and that they will get in the finals, and that the netherlands to, that would be a good match...
@John21: Why everyone exept the dutch? is there a reason why you don't want to allow us victory?

Kings of Football my ass! 🤣
Seriously though, I was surprised that they lost. But that loss makes this World Cup more interesting to watch since the same top teams that seem to always make the top 4 are starting to drop like flies...

felipe melo single handedly handed dutch the win...he made the pass to robinho for the first goal then heads in sniejder's high kick and fall asleep again when sniejder goes for the header and finally kick robben for red card...
i can say only 3 people from dutch are playing its sniejder, robben and kuyt the rest are sleeping
agreed. Also dunga probably gonna get fired. So the systematic approach didn't work, so one positive that you could get from this defeat is that we get the old Brazil back yeiya!! Though unless some major insanely talented players like ronaldinho, pele, ronaldo show up in the next 4 years with the exception of the AC Milan player Alexander Pato, Brazil hasn't got a bright future ahead of them
I don't know much about Brazilian football, but it seems like whenever people start doubting Brazil's future, some new young talent comes out of Brazil and it remains a powerhouse. I can't personally attest to this since I only watched football since 1998, but my father and grandfather, who have watched football for a long time (my grandfather also played semi-pro football in Peru), talk about how Brazil always seems to come out with new talent whenever their great players start to fade. Brazil is all about football. They'll be fine in the next 4 years.
On to the subject at hand. Is the Netherlands beating Brazil really such an upset? I know, it's Brazil. However, the Netherlands have been playing great all tournament. I thought the Netherlands had as good a shot to win the whole thing as Brazil, Argentina, or Germany. They've won all their games this World Cup and they seem to be getting better as the tournament progresses. Also, they're ranked 4th in the world. The Netherlands are a really good team. People just haven't been paying attention to them.

first: in four years pato will have bloomed into one of the absolute best players in the world ^^
secondly: It did upset me. . . but only because the Netherlands were playing like Italians, crawling around in the grass all the time. . . but the red card was undisputable 🙁

Lol i don't want the dutch to win because they beat Brazil thats all. I really wanted a spain versus Brazil final you know with Spain winning at the end. Also what irritates me the most is that previous Netherland teams have played so much better than this present one, their one two passes much superior, and the whole team was involved but they lost due to luck or momentary lapses whereas now Netherlands is soo boring with just Robben being the only source of excitement and class and this kind of Netherlands team is winning?? Even those two goals against Brazil was mehh but still a win is a win. Also Felipe Melo's red card was deserved no doubt about it, actually I think he should be banned for stamping on a player like that. Robben was just really damn good, he has been in awesome form.

Brazil aren't shaping up like they should be. Sure, they were pulling out all the stops, at the start. But it was the Netherlands who fought the hardest and endured. It was a good match, until Felipe decided to foul. 🤣 His red card was so deserved. This match pays testament to the fact, that no one should be underestimated.
Your from the order? I've never seen you before.

OMG! That's ridiculous. Ghana could very well have just missed their golden opportunity to beat Uruguay.

This Uruguay-Ghana match is awesome... 😲
At this point, I'll be happy if either team wins. I want Ghana to win because this will solidify them as the best African team of all time. I also want Uruguay to win since Ghana did eliminate USA. 🤣
EDIT: I honestly can't believe Kingson actually fell for that. 🤣

That was atrocious how uraguay won. They stoped the goal with hands. Then beat them on penalty shoot outs? Bah...Well the slyer team one. Hope the netherlands rip them a new hole. 🤣

wow what drama in that ghana-uruguay match. Damn Suarez turned out to be the hero for his team after blatantly stopping the ball with his hands but that ghanain dude who missed the penalty will have nightmares for sure.

Agreed.
In all fairness, I don't care who wins anymore - I kinda lost interest, but what I do care about is sportsmanship.
That Uruguay keep really ticked me during the penalty shootouts. You don't TAUNT the other players, man. He was acting so cocky I was hoping he'd accidentally block the ball with his face...and concede a goal. I really hope they don't go far in this...
Same goes with Paraguay. That whole acting innocent "what did I do?" thing when committing a foul is plain unsightly.
On a brighter note: Brazil's out! WOOT WOOT!

Hey, Suarez just got probably the best red card in the history of the World Cup. Yea, it was an obvious handball and he deserves to be sent off. But he just took one for the team. Look at it this way, if he didn't slap the ball away, Ghana would have scored, game over. At least by giving up a penalty, he gave his team a chance. I applaud Suarez for what he did. I wish Bocanegra would have taken one for the USA like that when he gave up on that second goal.
Man, this is the only time I can ever remember being on the edge of my seat during a penalty shootout. Two saves by the Uruguayan goalie, even if one was a result of a bad shot. Very unfortunate for Ghana. I feel bad for Gyan. He's gonna get a lot of heat. I really hope there's no Pablo Escobar figure in Ghana. That would be tragic.

.
You applaud someone for CHEATING?
Yes, that's right. Cheating.
It's not a tactical and strategic move, it's a spineless and "pussy" move.
Desperation aside, again, this is bad sportsmanship.
Throughout this tournament, we've seen many times that the handball rule needs to be modified.
Taking one for the team, huh?
I don't understand how people can be so PROUD of themselves winning through such unfair methods.
Where is the honor in that? :\
It's absolutely nothing to be proud of. Grow up.
