That's the coach's philosophy... defensive game. Never mind that, we(I'm greek obviously 😛 ) played like shit cause the players lack in physical condition(imo) and didn't even try. Most games we play are like that. You could see SK players running all the time even 5' before the end while we were practically walking... And I don't buy any bullshit of the press like "they were disappointed they were behind nearly the entire game" cause it's the freaking WC! You have to give it your ALL till the match ends if you want to have ANY chance! We were just indifferent. 🙁

Lol, anyway here's hoping that England vs USA has goals in it. I'm hoping for a 4-0 win from England. You know what to do Rooney.

that wsn't a bad game between argentina and nigeria. Messi was pretty damn good but was missing his finishing touch...actually all the strikers had poor finishing really there should have been more than 1 goal and argentina quite lucky not to have conceded as well. Their defense doesn't luk that good it just again reminds me that Cambiasso should have been included in the team and also Zanetti!! That dude Veron is so useless can't even pass properly.

I thought Veron had a good game, but I can't understand why he'd leave Zanetti and Cambiasso out of the squad, I mean they won the treble this season with Inter and surely that's good enough to get into the Argentina squad.

No I don't think that's the case (for Argentina anyway). That Nigerian goal keeper was amazing. He saved at least 5 shots that were on target. That Messi shot he saved was superb.

I have no idea how we won 2004 Euro either. If anything, our defence was alright back then. Now it's just a shambles.
Haha I don't think I can see Greece beating Nigeria and Argentina considering their performance and Nigeria and Argentina's perfomance today. Root for another team my friend. I don't think the Greeks have got a chance this year (or any other year for that matter) 🤣
They need more passion for the game. It looked like they didn't want to be there.

Indeed, the goalkeeper was the best of Nigeria. If it wasn't for him, Argentina could scored more.
Veron is quite good actually, though this wasn't his best match. He was too far away (like Mascherano) from the strikers. There was a hole between strikers and middlefield that needs to be filled for the next match with South Korea ><.
I wanted Di María to play more. It seemed like he wasn't at the field at all XD.

@tactics--Nigerian goalkeeper was brilliant yeah you are right. Actually there were like two shots by messi that got saved just because the goalkeepr was that good. However the one by Higuain in the first half, he should have scored definetly he just shot it straight at goal keeper and also Messi usually chips the goalkeeper in those close one to one situations that he had but he didn't. I mean if it was any other team they could have been punished for their lacklustre finishing and at the level where Messi is at you don't expect him to miss that many. I just really want argentina to win and for them to do that they have to be the best attacking force out there because Maradona has made it such that their defense is pretty poor and so is their midfield with Mascherano the only credible defensive midfielder out there. I just don't know whether Maradona is an idiot or a footballing genius after leaving out Cambiasso and Zanetti. Cambiasso is soo much better than Mascherano.

fifa world cup 2010 hasn't got off to a great start has it.Not many goals. England and USA game was soo boring, I guess thats what you get when you bring in an italian manager. I was like so shocked when Green let that goal in, what a douchebag he is. So much for Rooney being really good and stuff, didn't even have a good presence in the whole game, Heskey useless in finishing...the best player for me was Steven Gerrard for england and that defender dude for usa.
