FIFA WORLD CUP 2010
England played rubbish really.
Ultimately that was totally Green's fault that England drew, but they had more than enough chances to finish that match. The last pass was always terrible. I dunno what Cashley was doing second half either, not going down the wing like he was doing before. And Lennon, honestly, right place at the right time but he couldn't string a decent last ball anywhere! Well, play for a shit team, play shit I suppose. I'm still wondering what on earth Capello was thinking choosing him over Walcott.
Heskey, although he's not a finisher, he created lots of chances. I liked how he played today. Him, Johnson and Gerrard were the best players in that England team.
I dunno why Green was chosen over Heart either. Heart is such a better goalkeeper than both Green and James.
It's always so frustrating watching England play.

I don't think it's the case of England being bad, but the fact that our goalkeepers can't seem to catch the ball right. I wish he would of started with Hart instead of Green. 😢

I disagree that Heskey created that many chances - more than created he screwed up far bigger numbers of those, he made few passes but his pace was a crap, his jumping ability is at all time low, physically he isnt a threat either - he was pretty much useless most of the time because he was too slow and too weak - Defoe or Crouch would have been better. The moment when he got that fabulous pass and when they were 4 on 3 I knew that they will screw up because ball was at Heskey's feet and he cannot dribble for all his life worth and he doesn't have the speed to go straightline, and he doesnt have passing ability to pass when opponent is blocking a way (he can only pass in straight lines without opponents blocking) and so the only option was to shoot... but guess what... his shoot strength is horrible just like his finishing ability.
Horrible player, thats why in this season he never played as a started (unless the coacjh was forced to) simply others are far much better;
The next game it should be Hart as GK. Joe Cole in Midfield (for Milner or for Heskey if you go 4-5-1),
Lennon had some pace in the beginning of the second quarter and in fact he did create some chances there but his cross was off, still he should be fine in the next game... I hope at least.
SWP was utterly lacking.
And take Heskey out of the game. Just start Crouch or Defoe if want two play two Forwards... Just no Heskey please.

Nah England were pretty bad. Yeah Green's an idiot but you'd expect England to be able to score another goal anyway.
I agree with Heart though. He's much better than James and Green.
Granted, Heskey made mistakes, but seriously what player didn't. He was winning nearly all of the headers you know. It's just nobody was there for the second ball. But yes, Heskey can't finish to save his life. That I can agree on. I don't think it's fair to say he was useless on that pitch though.

Heskey got most of the headers because his good positioning not because he actually physically takes over the openent. Positioning comes with experience so it is granted that Heskey can do at least that, but the problem was that in quick sprints from the wings he was not fast enough to take good positions so if even the ball somehow touched his head it was always off-balanced crappy stuff that you can hardly call a shot.
He did soak the balls in bit over the midfield but there came another problem because he moved deeper to the back he wasn't able to to use that himself. His only hope was Rooney but they guarded Rooney well Heskey cannot make good passes to slice that up, so either Rooney comes back and takes the damn ball from Heskey or Heskey passes to the wings and sadly both wings were bad today... Johnson was pretty good, but even he did not make the crossing real threat.
Thats why I think Defoe would have been better than Crouch or Heskey... Those two rely on good crosses but both wings were pretty much dead - Lennon made few pretty good dribbles into the paint, but his cross was absent and without good cross the well positioning Heskey (even if he was somehow fast enough to keep up with Lennons pace and take good posityion before the cross) or the tall Crouch were almsot completely out, so they needed to play more through the center... But only ones that did play there were either Gerrard or the Rooney (in the second haldf of the second half). Lampard was so in love with his useless shooting from far away that he just did not see much need to dribble through the center. Thats why Defoe who loves dribbling there would have been much better decision than Heskey who was off.
And of course Cole... They needed Cole (not crappy Cashley) creativity, but Capello went with SWP who was just holding on to the ball way too long and was screwing up most of the plays instead...
And Green... wonderful Green who actes like such a Big shot before the game but was put back into his place with it. I hope for Hart next game... No James please... And no Green either.

I have to agree Heskeyz finishing was terrible when you are a striker at international level you have to finish those off, his shot was straight at the goalkeeper?? Capello is a fool if he doesn't change the goalkeeper, Hart needs to replace Green, Lennon was ok but SWP utterly useless, he was trying to dribble wayy too much and he is just not good enough to dribble past one player. Rooney was basically shut down by the defense, seriously if Rooney is as great as others claim he is, he should have done more much much more. Gerrard was really good and was an awesome captain, felt sad that he was let down by his team. Lampard going for glory and just wasting chances. Defense pretty good don't know why Ledley king was substituted, nearly cost Capello a goal with old man Carragher there. Ahaha i bet england fans are starting to AGAIN lose their hopes(don't know where they get them from anyways) about winning world cup. Can't wait to see how Spain plays, am looking forward to their attacking style of play.

I'm an aberration. I'm a brazillian that doesnt like football...
Yay I have a buddy xD I only like it during the WC because you reunite your family and eat junk... I only learned what offside was in the previous cup...
I heard that Brazil is going to lose this year because the next WC is going to be here... Doesn't make any sense to me at all... Why would someone want to lose? Is that just an excuse in case we lose for having a bad team... and is it bad? I don't even know that...
But I'm cheering for Brazil, obviously... and if we lose... oh well xD

Oh wow most Brazilians are fanatics when it comes to football. Well people saying Brazil going to lose(I am one of them even though huge fan) because they have changed their strategy from previous years. Its more defensive now, plus some of your star players weren't chosen cause well the manager didn't think they were good enough?? Brazil doesn't have a bad team but compared to the previous teams that they have had, this one is not that good.
