Well, here's my first post on MU since i've come back that needed a tl;dr... expect to see lots more of these 😀

when i saw this thread :/

lol jokes

Though it wasn't a manga related moment, i was reading a volume of manga(Newly bought copy of Battle Angel Alita volume 8 😀 ) at the time and i want to share it so here it is:

It was when saw the stupidest yet most awesome thing on the train one day, i was just sitting there in a compartment full of all kinds of people, goths, wogs, Asians, oldies etc... when some guy struts in, he was wearing some kind of cap, baggy trakkies, a white shirt that said something on it and over that white shirt was what had lead him to triumph.
So he walks down the isle giving everyone a hey or a hi or a "nod", i nodded back greeting the guy and he moved on to the people behind me. A girl stops him asking him, "Is that a K-Mart shirt?" he said yes and told them that his ugly $7 Hawaiian T-shirt with pictures of pineapples and cocktail mixers on it was from K-mart and told them it was $7. So he talks to the girls for a while and walks out of the train with 8 phone numbers and even managed to get a girl to show him her tattoo on her butt, taking off her pants halfway in the train.

tl;dr : a guy got 8 phone numbers and a girl to take off her pants on a train with the premise of wearing a ugly $7 Hawaiian shirt.

I facepalmed and laughed really hard when i got off the train and went to the nearest god-damn k-mart and bought myself that same shirt.

Too long/didn't read.

Oh, and there is a thread for real life facepalm moments 😮

lol Man you should take a bit of time and read it... thats one hilarious story. i wish i could do that

Very creative 😀 ..well, cliche of cliches make me facepalm...not only in manga but I suppose looking forward to and finally getting to watch the movie He's just not that into you made me facepalm though also nod in agreement sometimes...

as for manga, every new shoujo manga with bountiful of cliches and everytime I see a manga description where a girl poses as a boy and goes into a boy's school - now whose idea was it that started that trend? It wont just stop...

Renai Shijou Shugi. the entire manga is a major facepalm moment.

She falls for the guy who, in the beginning abuse her, she is attacked by guys in every single chapter, they all love her, and all the "they drugged me and i thought i was doing it with my BF" incidents.

Latest chapters of After School Nightmare, and all of Boku wa Kisu de Uso wo Tsuku entirely.

Actually, Boku wa Kisu de Uso wo Tsuku was pretty headdesk worthy.

I'd say pretty much every manga gives me at least one facepalm 🤢

pretty much anytime the clueless shoujo heroine finally has her "aha" moment about the main guy's feelings, or her OWN feelings, 16 volumes into the damn manga.

guaranteed facepalm there.

Rereading Yotsubato! recently. It's great, but it has some serious facepalm moments.

"Promise me you won't die."
"Alright. Even if I die, I'll come back alive."

bwahahaha

Can't remember them all, but here's one:
Koukou Debut (yeah, every shoujo manga has facepalm moments. oh well)

A girl goes on a date with the 'most popular boy in school' and nor she nor he (!) doesn't know what to do on a date. So they refer to shoujo manga for an advice.
