Quote from Wonderland
Not after anime or manga per say but I do like Sora for a girls name, so if my wife and I have one, that'd be the first name used.
I grew up with a really common name, and I could have had a somewhat uncommon one so I want our children to have names a bit on the rare side (my name, Christopher is really common....Christian, what I would have been named is uncommon, and as Christian, using the full name is easier, so I've gone by Chris most my life FTL. Say Chris in a full room and 5 heads turn.)
Not awful names mind you, I have decent naming sense (wouldn't name a poor child Lumpy or Star), just rare.
christian is a perfectly normal name which is often used. i know around 6 christians personally...
i just thought what a panty-stocking otaku would name his child.. 🤢

No. While I do adore the name Rin, if I named a kid it it would more be for my love of that 3 letter combination than after an actual character that has that name.

I did name my daughter after a favourite character, but it is a common name here. I wouldn't have used a name that sounded too out of place or was obviously a fan-based name.

I'm sure I'll name my daughter Euphemia
I just love that name. better than Laccus [sounds like a bacterial name]
and as for my son, I'll name him Adrian, but If I marry someone named Adrian, I'll give my son Lelouch name 😀
oh, but I'm not going to give them "Britannia" last name, I'm not Britain XD

I would never name my child after a manga, anime, or anything of the like for the reason of just enjoying the thing the name is in. I may like Noblesse but I would never name a kid Shin-woo for that reason. It seems almost selfish to me, as names deeply define a person in society. I'm not saying I wouldn't name a child with a Japanese name, or any other culture name for that matter. Most names nowadays are from all over the world.
If I name a child it will be a name I think suits them, no matter if I've seen it on TV or a book.
So, I guess my answer is no, I wouldn't name my child after a manga I liked.

If by chance I happen to marry a Japanese woman, I would not mind giving my child a Japanese name. It wouldn't be on purpose to name the child after an anime character, but rather a coincidence (assuming it's a "true" Japanese name).
Otherwise...we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
