Wow...I'm surprised there's not Nana or W Juliet in the shoujo section. They practically both wave the shoujo banner. I nominate them.

And I also noticed there's no smut manga in the shoujo tourney. While I'm not really a big fan, I think smut is a big part of shoujo, and it should at least have a representative.^^

Ah, that, I'm not really sure about. In my mind shoujo/josei and shounen/seinen are not differentiated, so... I kinda forgot. XD 5 years ago when I was a manga addict there was only shoujo and shounen and nothing else. 😀

But then if it IS josei, i can scrap that but I still nominate W Juliet. 😛

As Dr. Love said, Nana is in fact categorized as Josei and was already a contestant in this section of the tournament.

And about the smut.......you are totally right, but I have no idea of anything shoujou related. I have only read 3 shoujou in my life and they are already in the lists. I also noted that there is no Yaoi in the shoujou polls, but nothing I can do if no one nominates them.

If you know of any representative smut titles, please nominate them and I'll add them right away.

How is Yaoi shoujo? as for the smut titles...I see what you mean but given that we can only nominate five manga per demographic most if not all will always nominate the popular titles...and most of those aren't smut from what I know

Non...Yaoi is Yaoi...much like Hentai is Hentai, It doesn't fall into any demographic, then again, Yaoi could also be considered a form of Hentai, but still hentai doesn't fall under any demographic

If I can nominate more than three titles for josei, then I'd also like to add
Kiss and Never Cry

(otherwise I'll just hang on to 'nomination tickets' and let someone else nominate Kiss and Never Cry.)

Nodame Cantabile, Usagi Drop and Hotaru no Hikari all made the Top 10 best-seller for josei title in Japan last year. Would be interesting to see how they fare with the international audience. ^_^
