Like the title says, I would like to read a manga where the main character is female, and is super calculating, smart, careful, manipulative, maybe even cold, strategic/tactical, etc. I would also love it if she went through some particular traumatic event that made her the way she is. There also needs to be a lot of character development bc I like to get attached to the characters ^^ I dont mind what genre as long as it's NOT ecchi, yaoi, yuri, and anything that has to do with fan service. No big boobs and ass please lol. I'd also prefer it if the demographic was female but I'm still okay with shounen and seinen. Some examples that I would like you to go off of are:
Basara
Yakusoku no Neverland
Skip Beat
Akatsuki no Yona
Dengeki Daisy
Beauty Pop
Thank you!

Is this a love polygon? A harem?

LOLOL Oh... LOLOLOLOL I had no idea how you even thought of that, then I went to the mangaupdate page and saw the current cover. Oh my... I'm still laughing. Sorry.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai - Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen isn't harem or anything like that. It's more about these two tsunderes trying to get the other to confess first cause 'the one who falls in love first loses' and both of them are very competitive. And everyone else on the cover are extra characters who add to the spice of the competition between the two. XD You can try guessing which two are the tsunderes.

I'll suggest Chang Ge Xing although I heard that the story is on indefinite hiatus due to issue between the author and publisher :T

Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami

Well, they already recommended Kaguya-sama, but this one is typically what you're asking from your main post.

I had doubted when I started reading, but it pretty much blew my mind how good it was. I hope you going to like it too. Happy reading!

I second Chang Ge Xing in every sense. The protagonist is one the most cunning characters I have ever seen, and she is powerful, despite being stripped of her power at the start of the story. Very good 10/10. Unfortunately it's on longterm hiatus, but it's worth it. Very much worth it.

hahaha yeah the cover makes it seem like a love polygon 🤣 but it seems interesting.. I'll give this one a try too 🙂 and I actually wanted to read chang ge xing but when I found out that it would probably never be finished, I decided that I wouldn't want to risk getting heartbroken over it being left in an uncompleted state :/

How about “My Dear Maria”? It’s a webtoon from the app Spot Toon and it’s about a manipulative and cunning female lead trying to catch herself a rich husband.

You. I like you. Got some good taste.

Going to add a few that I remembered

Okoborehime to Entaku no Kishi
Ally of Justice The main lead isn't the calculative one, it's her sister. BUT the sister gets enough screen time to have a major role so I'm going to drop this here
Joou no Hana

Piece
Kechonpa

Other than that, I second Chang Ge Xing. It's really, really good and the main character is exactly the type of character you seem to be looking for. If you liked Akatsuki no Yona and you're interested in more serious fare, you'll definitely enjoy it.
