Please, no main character that dies at the end >.>

HAVE to be a romance manga, no BL, Hentai, etc

So basically a manga where the mangaka shows the pains the heroine is going through so clearly that you feel like that its happening to you directly. The pains, the heartaches....

Something like The Flower that Blooms in You, this is the best example, I couldn't stop myself from crying everytime I read it :3 she REALLY deserved him but I find him slow and stupid 😛

Koishi Tagari no Blue would also work cause the pains the girl felt of "why can't you like me?" were extremely real as well. Good luck recommanding me something from the "Unrequited Love" category since I've read almost all of them... except the oneshots... maybe... so probably like something from the "Requited Love but took a long time" category? But then I tend to find them a bit tedious.... sorry for being so picky 😛

Natsu Okuri Kimi Okuri by Amano Shinobu!! Egads! Even the title makes me want to gush. ;_; But it's not scanlated, and neither is it available online in the form of public raws. :-P Sorry, I just had to say it. If it's ever released, do read it. ;-)

Well, I haven't actually been moved to tears and neither can I remember anything... but, umm, to make up for above, try Heptagon by Hijiri Chiaki. The cover may not be the most attractive, but the inside art is much better, even if it's old (I like it though). It's a really good short series, and it's completely scanlated! :-) Try it. ^^

I haven't read the two works you mentioned, but these works made me cry (in a good way):

Fruits Basket ♥♥!!
Hanatsukihime
24 Colors
one of the critical moments in the beginning half of Koukou Debut...

One-shots
Yumenara Samenaide -- Story 1 (the one with the girl who awakens from a coma)
Nonchan to Watashi ♥ the mangaka!!

[EDIT]: There's another one that made me cry like no other... but does the love have to be requited in the end?

Fruits Basket
Natsume Yuujinchou

All three are well-known and VERY good.

Video Girl Ai

Oy! Those are heartwarming tears! (Well... there were some tears of sadness too... make it... bittersweet tears...) There's no denying that it's touching!! I'm sure @khmershinobi would agree.

@hobbitelf518: Thanks so much for Yumenara Samenaide was exactly what I was looking for, it was so good 😀 And Please DO!! It doesn't have to be requited I guess if you think it's really good 😃

@ShadowSakura: I think I will try it as I start it but for some reason lost interest....

Thanks so much for the other replies even though I have read most of them 🙂

One of my friends recommended this as "the first manga that had my crying by volume 1".

March comes in like a Lion.

The romance undertones aren't that strong, but this is super good.

I gotta read March Comes in Like a Lion obviously... well, from the same mangaka, Honey and Clover is ♥♥♥ (but I watched the anime... all 36 beautiful episodes...)

I thought that Bus Hashiru was a very nice collection of one-shots...

Hmm... all the other tear-jerkers I can think of were rather tragic... 🙁

Anya Kouro
Kago no Naka
Tsuki no Waltz
Yume Kurai - It says tragedy, but there is no death.
