I feel your pain man. There are certain characters where I'm like "Just beat the father ****er up already!!! I mean, seriously, what did you do? Oh, yeah, you looked at another girl in order to talk to her about what your club was doing today..."

For some mangas where the guy really is a pervert and is doing perverted things, I'm okay with it to an extent. But it's those mangas where the girl is beating him up for absolutely nothing that truly pisses me off. They make me want to slap that bitch straight across the face, especially when the guy doesn't react at all to her/doesn't even like her. The mental games and assault is even worse. Makes me want to **** up their lives (expression, not literally, I wouldn't want to do that (literally)). Coincidentally, I love manga which has a male protagonist who will get back at the female protagonist/doesn't let her effect him (preferably in a cynical way, i.e. comments on her futile attempts at him, or by giving her an evil look).

If society would allow me to assault a woman, I would (with due reason, of course). I hate their shit rules. If I want payback, I'd like to give it enjoyably. >:-( (this emote looks more proud that pissed off, which pisses me off)

I would definately not say that this applies only to ecchi/harem type mangas. I've don't read those genres and I've come across many mangas that have this.
It really annoys me. Sure, if it happens once or twice in the whole manga it would be funny, or if it was actually deserved, but in most cases it's just annoying. I suppose it could be there to show that the guy has a personality outside of fighting; i.e he doesn't just kill everyone around him when they upset him (of course, they do use that character in some mangas, they're called psychos >_>) I suppose what annoys me about it is that its almost like the characters being controlled/overpowered and be it a guy or girl this is happening to I don't like it, even if it's fictional. Freedom matters.

Of course, the complete opposite happens (especially in shoujo) where the main male lead completely abuses the female and, much to the shame of the females, she always ends up falling for him D:< "if you bully me and make me feel like I'm worthless of course I'll completely fall for you" er....NO.
