Tons of these on the net.
There is one more where in S.Korea they just dip a small octopus ( Dunno exactly whether it is an octopus or something down that line ) in a sauce and gulp it down.

Just for those who doesn't know about this dish:
They knockout a live fish, cook the body but leave the head un-cooked. Technically the fish is dead. The twitching it muscular and spinal response. It's like chopping off the head of the fish and then putting it on the plate. the body is totally cooked. It looks fresh, **as if the fish was alive, but it is not. **
I'm pretty sure fish head, like snake head, will live for quite some time after being separated.
Tsk tsk tsk, this is going to be another one of those things people will scream at before they even know what they see........ 😔
People are just going to ignore my explanation and draw their own conclusions///// now I feel sad for all of humanity. 🙄
The funny part is people will keep posting comments.....without reading this one.....and they will never know how wrong they were
That explains a lot... but I wouldn't eat it

They scale the fish, slice it few times on both sides, cut the throat and pull the intestines out, hold the head with a glove while deep frying the fish for awhile, and put the sauce on in.
The fish will experience the scaling alive, but compared to it's capture and being out of water it's not that bad. After that it's dead, only it's reflexes moving it's mouth and gills.

but the fish is unconscious during the process, they basically put the fish in a coma..... I don't know why you guys think people are so horrible as to not even spare the fish the pain? People aren't Sadists....
I know understand why Pubby tells me: "No, LOL, I'd doubt you'd be a stripper/host/gigolo and come on this ass site"

And notice, there's a distinction between restaurant that cook your food and hunters that hunt animals.....
Look, for Christ sake, I'm not defending anyone, I'm just clarifying for ignorant people what the dish is actually about. Did I say all people are saints? No.
The forum really is the ass of the site....

It's disgusting because it's reflexes are still working? It's not alive anymore. People are either just: "Oh, God. It's moving, it's disgusting", or brand it animal cruelty without even thinking about it further; "it's moving" and "it's in China", conclusion = it's animal cruelty.

Maybe because they know it's not feeling any pain. Maybe they can see themselves that it's dead and deep fried. And maybe they know it's just a reflex. Or maybe they're just sick sadists. —I wonder...

I'm arguing with all the people that is trying to find ways to prove how cruel this dish is. I'll repeat this a final time, the fish is DEAD.
You know how they cook fresh crabs around the world everywhere? They take live crabs, put them in a steamer and steam them until they turn red. That is true torture, getting steamed alive. I don't know if you know this or not, but getting burned by hot steam is a lot more painful than just getting burned by fire or hot water. One reason being that when it is already steam, and hot steam at that, the temperature exceed the boiling point.

I can hardly stand seeing live lobsters in the tank at the grocery store, knowing they will be boiled alive. So I can expect this video will disturb me. 😐

Somehow I doubt thats true. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I read the description. lol it kinda reminds me of a part in myth adventures. They arranged the meat in the shape of a human, but it wasnt really one.

Why doesn't anyone read the posts? It's not alive, people. Why is this on 18+ section? I've seen a four year old eat one of those. What does it matter if the fish is moving or not? Always trying to find fault with Chinese...

I'm point is: there's no one arguing with you — you're arguing by yourself.
