Namely the increase in the homogenized bullshit being scanslated in lieu of decent manga,
Homogenization (or homogenisation) is a term used in many fields such as chemistry, agricultural science, food technology, sociology and cell biology. Homogenization is a term connoting a process that makes a mixture the same throughout the entire substance.

So you know how to use this word and apply it to move towards more scanlating of yaoi but you don't seem to be able to use paragraphs, punctuation and logical thought to have a civilized debate. Yeah right....

A. I would like to say if you really have a problem with homosexual manga DON'T READ IT!!!!!!!!! I mean it is as simple as that. And yes people say that such and such character from Naruto or Bleach is sooooooo gay, well listen up people assumptions like that just so how uninformed you are! I mean really I know several perfectly straight guys who act totally gay, but that is okay it is just how they are.
B. If being gay is just that horrible just shut the hell up! you homophobes out there as long as gay people aren't hurting you leave them alone and let them enjoy their gay manga.
C. Yes I agree that people tend to focus on one or 2 mangas, but hey just a suggestion to the scanlators out and note : this is only a suggestion, diversity is a good thing I mean i could never scanlate like you guys but really 6 groups scanning Naruto is just a little excessive don't you think?
This concludes my rant. Please comment upon it.

i agree with him....well, i'm more on the fence i suppose.....
but i to do not read gay manga, both Yaoi or Shounen-Ai (although i'm all for Yuri/Shoujo-Ai) but honestly, this is 2008.......you've got to accept the fact that they are millions of gay people, so that would seemingly mean atleast hundreds of gay scanalotor groups right?......and honestly when you think about alot our/your favorite mangas have gay shit in it..... for me Hajime no Ippo for example, anyone who reads knows they grab/comment on each others dicks so much to the point that if it happened to me in real life, we'd have real problems....but in manga it's just plain funny......i've also heard that Berserk has a gay guy in it, and i know for a fact Naruto and Sasuke are gay (on the low atleast).... Bleach?, ichigo might as well be gay.... ever seen him with a female?, and 99% of the shounen actions are like that.......but i do agree, theres alot of gay manga out there, but theres also alot of straight manga out there....... somes garbage, some great....i'm sure the gay manga's the same, ya know?
so what we should be saying is translate BETTER manga more ORIGINAL manga, more CLEVER manga......for both straight and gay audiences, more diversity and less of the 8different scan groups translating the same bullshit......
more Vagabond, less Naruto.......feel me?

It's all a part of the same debate, namely scanslators releasing nothing but shit in the past few months. I said it in more than one post, my problem isn't only with yaoi. It's with manga of every genre (mainly yaoi, I will admit). All that's getting translated is the same bullshit, the same shonen plot, the same ecchi, yaoi only has like 3 different plots in and of itself, there's a general lack of diversity. Yeah, I DO have a problem with the gay content here, but only because of the amount of it. And before anyone goes on about filtering, I didn't even know we could do that until just recently.
That's far besides the point though. Supposedly people like manga because of the unique style and stories, but that doesn't even exist among the translation groups anymore, now it's people pumping out the same shit over and over again.
Oh, and speaking of paragraphs, I haven't said enough to use more than 1 or 2 per post.
I WILL MAKE THIS CLEAR FOR THE LAST TIME: I AM NOT OPPOSED TO GAY CONTENT, I COULD CARE LESS, BUT THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING IS THAT THE AMOUNT OF GAY CONTENT ECLIPSES THAT OF HETERO OR EVEN "ASEXUAL" CONTENT, AND WHAT LITTLE NON-GAY CONTENT THERE IS SUCKS.
READ MY POSTS, AND NOT JUST THE ORIGINAL ONE.

So, you have no problem with it... Except for the fact that people are making a (subjectively) large ammount of it? 😕

It's not subjective, around half of the daily releases are exclusively yaoi, and a smaller portion of which are shonen-ai. I hate how the word "homophobe" gets thrown around, it always because an issue of PC when people bring up homosexuality negatively, it's like when a woman slaps a man he must of done something wrong, but when a man slaps a woman he's attacking her. Fact of the matter is, you're right, I don't need to read, or even look at anything I don't want to. But it's like, why is there so much of it? The amount isn't even proportional to what they're releasing in Japan, why is there a sudden boom in releases, is the "boom" even among the readers? From my perspective, yaoi remains niche, but has more active translators than any other genre. Do gay people/girls just have that much more time on their hands?

Hmm, it's totally understandable where you're coming from, especially with the absence of focus seen on those "unique" manga's (Franken Fran is terrific), as well as the excessive amount of groups focusing on popular series such as Naruto, Bleach etc.
However, us, the readers/viewers, there's really not much we can do, other than simply read and enjoy our selected manga's to our likings. I for one see no problem with the surge of Yaoi manga (I'm a guy, i just stay away from it), nor do i have any problems with release frequencies and scanlations of manga's i like, or am currently reading.
To me, it's simply, the groups can work on what they want, and when they want. I'm just glad to be able to enjoy their scanlated manga's.
With scanlations, one of my favourite manga's quite some time ago I remember, it was about a year since i last read Berserk manga to the latest scanlated chapter, and since then to my knowledge, it has seen only a few extra chapters scanlated. From this, i do feel that their are less deserving manga's getting the most attention, but i truly have no problem with it, regardless of how much i enjoy the said manga. It's all up to the groups and the people capable of such work.
Well, after reading all three pages I will have to agree with exzapel on this problem. And as exzapel stated, it's not about the gay content in manga. It's about the majority of scanslators scanslating manga with the same content.
Truthfully, you shouldn't have put "gayening" on your title since there are a few who just post based on title, so there will be misunderstandings.
However, I should also point out that ranting about it here won't solve anything since we really don't have a choice on the matter...
I'm just glad I even get to read manga
Though, I myself may have misunderstood what you're trying to say...

There really isn't anything I can do except comment/complain, but I think I should be allowed to have an opinion and not get attacked for it. I'm not going onto these scanslator's sites and telling them to stop or complaining, I put it out in a public forum to discuss it and ask for others' opinions.
Blackraven66, you got it for the most part. The reason I said the gayening is because most of the manga released is, in fact, gay. And you can take it further with the way the word "gay" is used in slang terms
I see...
Well, don't worry about it. Reading the comments, people just seem to have misunderstood what you're trying to say...

okay i get what you say when i threw out the word homophobe and I apologize. And yes there does appear to be alot of yaoi manga tossed out there, and yea the new hetero stuff is usually crapppy at best, but i mean come on all things go through ups and downs do not blame the scanlators and if you don't like learn japanese or Chinese and scanlate your self.
Also this is for the people who are so shallow they only read the titles and post, (deep breath) READ THE GODDAMN POSTS BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!!
sorry i had to say it. i it just drives me nuts when people post on the titles and not on the messages written to explain the titles and the discussions that follow
oh and by the way i use watashi and atashi and not boku or ore
(all of these words are japanese for I look them up and see the difference)

That's like saying that when you want someone to fix your sink that you should learn to do so yourself, not everyone is going to learn to do everything they want done.
I get what you're saying as far as the fact that it's free goes, but if I had the drive to learn Japanese or learn photoshop well enough to edit, I would do so in the pursuit of knowledge or the interest of money, NOT because I want to read/scanslate manga.
Yes, it is free, but it's also something only someone with the right skills can do. I can only ask or complain.

Its interesting to see everyone acting up just after a little rant. I personally thought the rant was kind of funny 🤣 . Especially the part about 6 scanlators on popular mangas such as Naruto and Bleach.
