Sex for Character Development!

So I'm looking for a manga that uses sex (or almost sex), for MEANINGFUL character development. And plot development is good too. 😀
Criteria! ; Of course, it has to take place when they like each other; even if they don't know it yet. Also, I DON'T want things to work out right away. I like my manga with plenty of angst, so that's no good. Also, after this happens, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT the main character to be reduced to a sobbing mass of tears. She can be depressed, of course, but I want a strong main character. No moping! She can cry and mope for a couple of pages at most, but not more then that all at once. It can be spaced out, though. OH. And they have to still like each other afterward.
It would be nice if it takes awhile for them to notice they have feelings for each other.
EDIT;
I only want the main characters to have sex after they've already known each other for quite awhile, AND I only want them to have sex once, then stop for awhile. They can do it again later, but preferably not for at least 7+ chapters.
Examples! (Because this is sorta hard for me to explain properly);
The One
When the Silver-Eyed Monster (I can't remember his real name) almost half-rapes her to throw that one spy dude off her trail. This allows you to see how they both feel about each other, is probably going to allow her to make the decision to go to Paris, and of course, adds wonderful angst. <3
How they have sex, and then they practically pretend how it never happened while at the same time making it further the plot and their relationship... so excellently done!
WHAT I DO NOT WANT. ~~~
I do not want a whiny, sniveling main character. I also don't want one who obsesses over every little thing the main lead does. I also don't want it to be a mostly physical relationship; I want it to be emotional, and the sex (or almost sex), just moves the plot along a little and adds spice. 😀
Also, I don't want the common shoujo girl. No bloody way.
Anyway, please and thank you!

maybe model? i think so, but its been a while since i read it. the main character isnt the typical shoujo girl either, and i think(not sure) that the way she meets the guy she ends up with is through sex? i know he goes into her room, but i dont remeber...but i do remember that theres plenty of going back-and-forth between two guys. and i dont think shes obsessed with the guy either.

Thanks for the suggestions, but juging by the descriptions, the sex is waaayy too frequent. I only want a 1 time super meaningful sort of thing.

Midnight Secretary - it's exactly what you want, except maybe a little more smut than you wanted, but the art is gorgeous;
Silver - again a good example of what you wanted, but since is still in translation it didn't actually get yet to the smut part (except for the first chapter which shows what happens somewhere in the middle or end of the story);
Ai hime - this has only one scene of sex and is mostly implied;

How about Ai Yori Aoshi. It's kind of a harem series just so you know
Saikano
Maybe Koi Kaze

😀 😀 😀 This is EXACTLY what I want! (So far, anyway). Thank you so much!
Midnight secretary is something that I've already read, and I guess it sort of fits.
I haven't read Ai Hime, but it looks like it might fit.
@Slient
Thanks for the suggestions. They look like they might fit, but I have to read them to be sure.

You're welcome 🙂
You could also try Anatolia Story - at the point when they have sex their relationship is already stable and so you could consider it a natural development.

You might wanna try Mars. Guess this meets most of your requirements.

What I think this person wants is manga where sex triggers a change in either character.
I can't remember the name of the manga, but theres this one where a girl likes her friend, they have sex, but he regretted it after etc. Apparently in the manga she hates her mother and doesn't want to be like her, all loose and stuff.
Feed your head.

That's Zig Zag Don but they sleep together without liking each other and do so in pretty much the first chapter. However, it's a decent read so far. I'm seconding Mars even if it doesn't fit everything because I love it lots.

You might like Lady Masquerade. Sex for character development, indeed. I was a little iffy about suggesting it because the lead leans a little to the side of typical shoujo girl, but she's much less typical than the lead of Silver, and it's a pretty good read.
