I am a huge fan of both Batman and Christian Bale though I have to agree Heath Ledger took the cake and the icing in this movie with his performance which though did not correspond with my idea of the Joker as every other character in the movie but nonetheless, he was intimidatingly insane as his character role demanded. I also noted the reaction of the public in the movie theatre that I watched in, Ledger's every move was appreciated and ooh-aahed over.

The female leads for Batman in both Christian Bale movies were somehow from a different school of beauty than the previous ones, which had elegant/glamourous Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman. They are now choosing sorta mousey faced women, no disrespect to either actresses (Katie Holmes or Maggie G) but it seems the portrayal or the projected image of the movies is gradually shifting away from the comics but it all might be just me 😀

I've seen Gotham Knight. It is similar to another tie-in, The Animatrix.

I absolutely LOVED that movie!! Heath Ledger never ceases to amaze me... However, the only thing that annoyed me was Christian Bale's attempt at a "gruff and authoritative Batman voice". Basically, he more growled than he actually spoke... In my mind, that kinda killed the drama in the movie... I mean, there was all this mounting tension and suspense, but then Batman opens up his mouth and the mood's just gone. Was I the only one holding back laughter in the theater? 🤣
