it's a physical reaction to think quicker like that. your eyes take in way more information than your brain actually processes normally so it doesnt get exhausted, kind of like a camera skipping frames. But in rough situations, like the sodomy/rape/deading, your brain goes all out to help you escape

Like I can see a lot of serial killers raping their victims before butchering them.

This is actually a hard one for me, I'd put them on equal standing actually.

I suppose it depends on the situation. I believe rape is worse a lot of the times cuz it can traumatize someone to the point pf suicide, which I believe causing someone to become suicidal is worse than murdering them simply because the shame falls on their shoulders instead. Then again, if someone is murdered that has people close to them could commit suicide... Anyways, I voted rape cuz you have to live with it. With murder, it only affects the people around you in retrospect cuz you're gone (unless you're like religious or something. Which I'm not 😐 ).

Murder is worse!

I guess I have too many aspirations to let it all end. I'd rather reach for those aspirations with a gaping scar than not reach for them at all. You are only given one life and... well, I'd say rather preserve that life, good things can come after bad things but death is final...

It all seems so obvious to me, in fact i thought this thread was a joke 🙁 i undeerstand the emotional scars, trauma, the stigma and all the possible consequence. Yet it still seems so obvious 😐

everyone gets that, but not many get the opportunity to do so. although sometimes it useless with certain situations

You see when I was a little brat, I was constantly at the verge of dead due to my asthma, and in order to keep me in this world certain drugs were used on me <_< drugs that are not legal anymore...

Anyway thanks to a couple of side effects my heart is a tad bigger of what it should be and my body seems to produce more endorphins than normal when I am scared/exited or whatever... the downside is that the chances of dying because of blood pressure and such are good enough ._.

If we are all candles then you can say my fire is burning 1 1/2 times more faster than normal people, however, thanks to that I will probably die sooner... not like I care, I am playing extra time already 😃 and I am living the way I want to live so if I were to die tomorrow, I wouldn't give a damn

this is dumb after being raped you still have a chance to be normal again and be well
but after being killed theres nothing you can do.
rape destroyed many womens lifes but they are alive to feel the pain and share love with other people and family she can recover and be well.

My opinion is that rape worse than murder. Victim can die for once in the murder but the victim who is raped has to die for whole life till death.

A rape is a long lasting kind of damage, one the victim won't be able to forget. Murder, err, once it's done it's done. But there is pain that relatives have to deal with... oh well.

This question shouldn't be put on a scale. Both are very sensitive subjects and in the end depends on the person.

Some might think rape cause it can last a lifetime others might think murder cause that means life's over but this is how I see it...

As far as rape goes it depends on the person, how they heal, who they have beside them, if they have that understanding, patient, caring, gentle person in their life who's willing to help them overcome it. But if they don't have that person then (in some cases it doesn't matter if they do or don't) rape can be a long lasting kind of damage, a damage that kills them inside, one the victim won't be able to forget and might have very hard times in later relationships, might not be able to trust again...

But then...

In ways I feel murder is worse cause, If your raped then you can heal but If your murdered then theres nothing left... thats it, life's over but thats just the way I see it I believe when someone is being raped they don't think to their self (most of the time anyway) "Please just kill me" No I believe it goes a little something like this "No please don't do this, please don't kill me OMG how can I get away I want to live..." (especially the mothers out there who get raped that just want to live for their child/children) in the end the rape victim still wants to live.

In other words all I'm saying is that it all depends on the person.

I have never known anyone who has been murdered and I have never been raped so it's just my thoughts...

To me, I think murder is way worse. You have everything planned for yourself, but then somebody kills you, poof.....you're gone. Not to mention the grief of your friends and family you left behind after you're dead.

Rape is really horrible too, but not as much as murder. Geez, I shouldn't talk about this, ever. I rather talk about this with my parents. 😔

and think about it, even if a person says they've healed, they can never truly erase that memory. it'll come up from time to time. unless they get amnesia from trauma (very rare) or alzheimer's (when they're old).

have you ever read or heard of a book called Lovely Bones? sometimes you never have anything to help. it's a nice book though.
