I'd want more believable characters so i can have a better sense of empathy towards them, also more believable plots. Instead of those ones that are like "oh i'm gonna die. random person comes in to save the day" for example.

picked believeable characters for the same reasons swegg did, second would have been poltical commentery.

the thing i would have added to the poll would have been "decent endings"

anyway, nice thread
however, how the hell could mangas need more hot chicks? that would be hard to achieve. it would have made more sense to add a choice:"more non hot chicks"

edit:
what are bishies?

believable characters.... I think you need to relate to the protagonist sometimes, to kinda see what they are going through. If they feel alien to you then you won't care as much about them. My second choice would be complex plots--Sometimes it seems the authors take the easy road out all to often.

i chose believable characters because ever since i've started reading manga, my mind started to zoom into the dream world more than reality....more believable characters is just the right thing for me to deflate my illusional bubbles and zoom back to reality 😀

Reality is highly overrated. (^_~)

Well I voted for believable characters too, but complex plots was a close second. If the characters don't feel real (on some level, not necessarily 100% realistic), then I don't care about them, and if I don't care about them, why would I want to read about them...?

Ha! Have a look at Crying Freeman. There's one in V1 alone. Also, more recently, there's one in mahoraba (Starring Tachibana in Rome, no less).

I think Tachibana might be my own personal Yamato Nadeshiko...

Oh, and I voted for believable characters, too...

Warn: Banned

the title of this poll does not match it's contents. "improvements"....what is that?

if you want to read manga with alot of car racing action, you should check out initial D...it's pretty old, but alot of refine techniques and the anime is even better 😀
