Parfait Tic is also nice but longish.
I was just about to post about this one! Usually I hate the "OMG which one" mangas, but this one is soooo well done. Definitely not as horrible as Peach Girl (Couldn't stand it for some reason)

anyone know a shoujo or romance manga that has the main character a guy...
Also Cinderella Fella is a shoujo.. hmm, i had the impression that there would be less shoujo with guys in main role.

Actually I'm more into Shonen. But since I also read some shoujo manga...
Parfait Tic, Lovely Complex, Fruits Basket (anime), Perfect Girl Evolution and Aishiteru Baby.

I been wanting to read Parfait tic for a while now, but then i went and spoiled the ending coupling for myself and now i'm like "eh...maybe later"
so for now i'm just reading others such as Meisou Kuiki, Perfect Girl Evolution, Da Da Da, B-Wanted, Heaven's Prison.
and for other licensed ones i really liked Meru Puri, Perfect Boyfriend, Tsuki no Shippo, and Cafe Kichijouji.

If we're sticking to strict shoujo, I'd say probably either Fruits Basket or Kare Kano. Kare Kano's character development is better, Furuba has better art (except that I'm not a huge fan of bishounen...). I like Watase Yuu's art, but her characters are just too flat. If I had to put one of hers on the list, it'd be Alice 19th, both because it's shorter than her other stuff, and more compelling.
That said, Unless it's one of the rare cases where the manga is significantly worse than the anime, I'd have to say that Honey and Clover (technically josei) blows both of them out of the water. I add the qualifier because H&C has just started scanslation and the manga is nearly complete in Japan.

Shoujo is not my thing, to much Chibi and these extreme billard-like-eyes (i know, we are speaking here from MANGAS, but in shoujo's these eyes really envolves on a higher level that usual)
I really tried to read some, but than i noticed, that every time the main males person appears (mostly apruptly on the first few pages AND for the beginning of school/lesson)(with which the main female person will definatly fall in love) that person kisses her suddenly and than the real trouble is just about to start.
AND the female person is an absuluty beauty hot chick OR and flat-chested(?) glasses wearing girly girl.
I'm don't complaining, I'm just not reading^^

Skip Beat is a kick ass manga. The female character is not weak at all and it's real cool.

I second that, and also suggest you check out Tokyo Crazy Paradise (by the same author). My 11-year-old twin boys (who generally despise shoujo) are begging for the next volume of Skip Beat.

Is Parfait Tic even finished in Japan?? I thought I saw a new volume on the shelves (Vol 19 I think or was it 20??)
So how could you know the end coupling? The manga is so angsty and all over the place. She should've finished it at volume 15.
I want it to be an anime!
I'm so excited about seeing Lovely Complex as an anime yay!
Recent shoujo I am really enjoying is Ghost Hunt (anime) and Mucha Kucha Daiuski (Manga)
Skip Beat anime! that would rock
😲

How funny, I just watched the live-action Lovely Complex movie, quite fluffy and fun.
🤣
Tokyo Crazy Paradise has some similarities to Skip Beat, but a lot of differences too, plot's more outlandish/fantasy/futuristic.... Having read all of TCP but only 4 volumes of SB, I like TCP a bit better, both are good though.
Mucha Kucha Daisuki was good until the last volume or so, then it SUCKED. Royally. But maybe that's just me, I like happy endings. (>_<)
The eyes in some shoujo bother me, but there are also a lot where the art isn't so...deformed... >_>
