personally I recommend Ogura Muku's manga, particularly Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto and Sentimental Garden Lover. Both have fairly simple, short stories but I think that's a good primer when you're trying to get into BL since most BL manga is rather short and succinct. Ogura Muku does draw sex scenes but they're pretty softcore and loving, and her characters are cute and very relatable and emotionally engaging. I think it's a good way to get into the BL genre. 8)

I'm not really intereseted with Yaoi. But I like this BL manga because of it's art <-- Judge it's books by the cover OTL;

FAKE - I'm reading this now, and it's very easy to get into. Two NY City cops are falling for each other. It's funny, and the relationship is sweet, but their police work is unorthodox to say the least.
Name of Love, a story collection by MIYAMOTO Kano. As already mentioned, her works are a must read. The stories are always compelling, though often bittersweet.
Haru wo Daite Ita, one of the most well-known series. Might not be the best place to start, as it is long, but every yaoi reader should try some NITTA Youka
Totally Captivated - what it says on the tin, this series is captivating. A college student gets involved with a charismatic Yakuza boss.
Rakka Sokudo, a great story about two straight men who don't know what to make of their attraction. Just about anything by FUJIYAMA Hyouta is good; another one you might try is Honki Ja Nee Kara
Dakishimetakunai is a good introduction to NAONO Bohra, a popular mangaka who often features older ukes.
Toiki Yori mo Yasashii or the story collection Mijuku na Kareshi by MINASE Masara. I like just about anything she does.
I second YONEDA Kou, though I prefer her Katekyou Hitman Reborn! doujinshi to her original work. One of my favorites is Katekyo Hitman Reborn! dj - Hinemosu Kimi ni Ubawareru
After you've read a few works, and if you decide you like yaoi, you'll probably find that you have preferences for certain types, then you might want to come back with a more specific request. Try lots of things, and enjoy!
