in magical girl manga/anime when the main character beats the big boss, most of the time it's because of the 'power of love', e.g:
person 1: 'how was so-and-so sealed away =O?'
person 2 (in a dramatic and slow voice): 'yes...it was the power of love (-.-)'
in typical shoujo ones it's:

etc., especially in 'heated' moments.
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

other variations: "It can't be!" or "Incredible!" or "Unbelievable!" (I'd say that kind of thing is the one that I see the most of.)
