Ehh? I remember people by signature, its easier because [hopefully] they don't have the same pictures.

Usually a combination of everything, but most of all, by the style of their posts. The member's identity is pretty clear by the way they write and what they say.

I do try to remember nicknames, though.

At least for the more prominent members. The new ones I kind of just recognize by their set, and as they post more and become a regular on the forums, I start to remember their nicks as well. Sometimes in the "previous avatars" thread I get surprised, because I didn't know that they were the ones who had that avatar in the past here. : x

I voted for both, because I do consider both the nicknames and the avatars, but usually it's avatar first. If it one I don't recognise, then I'll look at the nick.

Thats why when some people had the same avatars I was all confused for a while (I think that happened with Swan and some other member. I remember being quite baffled there 🤣 )

Also, sometimes signatures. For the ones who don't change it often, or the ones who stand out a lot (Loose's collection is what I'm thinking of here XD)

I have a feeling I might be recognised by my signature for some reason 🤣

By avatar. .__.

I always look at both the avatar and sig first and recognize a member from there. Sometimes I do confuse some members though when they change their set, happened recently actually. <.< >.>

I do remember most nicks though- at least those of frequent posters. O_O

First I look at the avatar, cause it stands out the most.
Then I subconsciously associate the avatar with the name above it.

No one gives a shit what trite garbage you write here.

By the signature and name. I don't pay too much attention to who it is until after I finish reading the post, and by that time what jumps out at me is the signature. I usually remember the names of people who have strange/funny/interesting sigs

Avatars first, then nickname. So I guess both.

When someone changes their avatar, it's like a total internet face job! lol! But then I take a look at the nickname and I go, "ohh, it's that person!" Gotta get use to it! :3

I also remember some members by the way they type (usually members who love to debate or have a strong opinion.) annnd, some comrades that like the same things I do. They tend to post in the threads I do. w

I'll just look at their username to confirm who they are.

If they change both, that's really aggravating. Then I don't know who the hell they are,
unless they have a certain writing style like mams. But even then ;_;

If someone changes their nickname, and then keeps their avatar...
I'll just assume they're someone else. 🤣

Point being: don't change your username! You will forever disappear from the internets ><

I memorize members by sorting them into different categories like:

*Interesting avvy/sig set
*boring avvy/sig set
*members who can't spell/have bad grammar (I'm just sayin')
*members whose posts lack paragraphs

and most of all, The remaining Kings and Queens of MU~ 🤣
Memorized by nick and avatar since most of us rarely ever change our avvy/sig sets =P

But it's still amazing how each different one has their own way of talking.
So you can tell them apart...if you bother reading what they're trying to say xD
