What would you do if food you disliked was served?

All the people that are "I dislike this, that, that, that oh and almost everything else too" should try to understand that it is really hard for people who cook. When you live on your own you can eat only things you like. If there are only a few things you dislike it would be nice if there was some minor thought put in by those who know. but you should stop being whiny brats.
If you have to cook for people who are like that it's hell.
(Though I don't care and just cook whatever I want)
I'd eat as much as I could. I'm a picky eater, but I'm not rude.

I have always been taught not to waste food, so if the food would be thrown out if I didn't eat it, then I would eat it anyway. Or if I was really hungry. However, if it was at the house of someone I didn't know too well and it would be rude not to eat it, I would try a bit. I'm a slow eater so people tend not to notice when I don't eat too much. Of course, there are also foods I cannot eat due to religious obligations - I'm Muslim and so I can't eat pork, any meat that was not killed in a certain way, or anything containing alcohol. If something of that sort was served, I would politely explain why I couldn't eat it and go with something else if there was another choice, or just remain hungry.

if it's meat- i'm vegetarian, there's no reason for me to eat it.
anything else i could try exaggerating my vegetarianism or allergies or somehow creating the impression that i have religious beliefs preventing me from eating it.
worst case scenario, i eat a bit and than say i'm not hungry, or eventually admit the stuff on the plate makes me want to barf. 🤨

If I was at a restaurant, I'd at least try to eat a little. If I knew the cook personally, I'd just eat the whole damn thing seeing as they took the effort to cook it for me.
Eat it, or try to finish at least. I don't like to waste food and I'm not that picky anyways.

I usually play with it on my plate to make it look like less and eaten. Then I eat all the dinner rolls. But if they ask specifically why I'm not eating it, I'll flat out say I don't like it. Just about the only foods I don't like is coleslaw and potato salad. Yuck.

I'd be glad that there's food, I remember meager sundays with no food at home... 🤨

I'll eat it, how much I eat will depend on if anyone's that insistent on making me eat it...
Unless I'm physically unable to eat something (allergy, intolerance, etc) I'll eat as much as I can since it's probably still food, and wasting food isn't something I'm a big fan of.

Depends on the situation. If it is at home and my mom cooked it, I will not eat it. However, if it is with friend's, guest's, strangers, etc, I will take a little bit...and eat all of what I took
On the other hand, if it is from the cafeteria here I will just flat out not eat it. Tastes bad, leave it on the plate and put it with the rest of the dishes cough They give too much food here anyways plops half a plate full of mashed potatoes 🤢

I'll eat all of what is given to me. I'm not too picky so it's normally not an issue. The only thing that's typically served that I don't like is tea, but I'll drink it anyway if it's already poured out.
One time I went out to a restaurant with a group and one girl was on a diet. She ate a little then asked the waiter to take the plate away so she wouldn't be tempted to eat more. Apparently she was misunderstood because he came back with a different dish. She refused and yet another dish was brought out. After three new courses were brought out we told the girl to accept it before the staff gets carried away trying to guess what she likes.
It depends. If its just food that doesn't appeal to me and someone made it for me, then I'll at least try to eat it. If its something I can not eat and will get sick if I do (allergies/digestive problems) I will not eat it.

I eat everything! A little hilarious because I'm so petite~ Cannot keep the weight on, YAY~!
Almost regular to eat three full lunches and snacks at four different houses. I was like a stray growing up~ Ate everything from anyone I knew~! My parents are really good cooks too. The "Waste not, want not!" saying was deeply drilled into my head.
I still eat the entire apple and peanut with the shell~ Everything I don't eat is always thrown into the stock pot~!
This is an interesting planet.

It all depends on the severity of the dislike I had for said food. If it were mushrooms I'd eat them. I don't like mushrooms but I don't hate them. Now if it was potatos I'd say I was allergic to them. I HATE POTATOS!!! If it were a new dish made with things I don't like I would still try it because I don't know how it would taste with something different done to it. If I didn't like that then I wouldn't finish it. I'm an adventurous eater so I'd try anything but I'm also picky. Don't know how that works out...
