yuri, yaoi, shounen, shoujo, seinen, josei, hentai next to the name in the releases page it may be small icons or just change the letters with diferent colours based in those 7.

That's a quick way for one to check a new series based in what one usually likes, im kind bothered by the fact most series i find with a cool name( the reason i use to check a series a 1st time ) and it ends up being either yuri/shoujo, yaoi or something else i don't like so i was thinking(for once).

We know in japan people check magazines based in those demografics so... why not do the same here?, in libraries many girls do check shounen magazines they go directly to shoujo o josei ones... guys usually dont check shoujos and so on( even if they do read yuri 😛 and hentai)

... There is this Release Filtering
Where you can have it exclude certain genres or have it show up in a certain color on the New Releases Page .
I have my tragedies set to the color blue, yaoi to green, yuri to yellow. (there's other but I'll stop listing).
It's still in beta, but it is there ...
Is that what you were suggesting?

I don't think I would like this. There are a lot of series that simply don't stick to stereotypes. Marking them as one of the 7 demographics (you should add shoujo ai and shounen ai to the list btw) would only make people ignore most of them without even looking at what they are.
Take Darker Than Black for example. If it had a sign beside it's name, that it's a shoujo, then I think at least half of the people who read it because they like the anime wouldn't even take a look at it.

And anyway, you can color code how releases look in the User CP -> Release Filtering.

it may work indeed! let me check... where do one find that option? ed, found it i will check it, its kind of weird tho, as i may find some action being shoujo and shonen 😛

and draconic, arent shoujo ai and shounen ai, released in the same magazines as yaoi and yuri most of the time? i mean soemthing that lets u sort stuff like dragon king and shounen jump as the same color icon as both are for shounen guys.

... The word Release filtering was a link in my previous post, but yes you could set colors, or out a check mark in the box next to the genre and it will no longer appear on the new releases page for you. To set color press the box that says color and select a color, or type in the color code.

Draconic also showed you how to get the this same page.

User CP -> Release Filtering.

I hope this helps.

I really can't understand why you want to filter out some mangas. From personal experience the demographic doesn't have much to do with how good a manga is 😉 😀
And there are those too, where you can't feel that they really belong to that category. Take Maria-sama ga Miteru (Novel) for example. It's a shoujo ai novel, but in the first 5 volumes that I have read, I couldn't see any romantic relationships between girls.

cuz they a subtle... its for some people to believe there's something going on... where it doesn't really is the case but i get some points that may look like it... only some freaks get the shoujo/shonen ai.

Locking this because as the others have stated, we have Release Filtering/Highlighting
