Strange? I thought Sakura Gari was completed at a total of 3 volumes?

For me Let Dai is absolutely unforgettable. The subtle and sometimes unsubtle ways Jaehee and Dai express their love for each other is absolutely poetry. My heart aches just thinking about it. I know many people did not like the ending but I feel that it was the only way it could've ended.

A completely happy ending would've been too cliche. Plus the art was simple and hauntingly beautiful. Seriously my favorite BL of all times.

Banana Fish is breathtaking, in my eyes it was perfect
The first one or two volumes are somewhat boring since it's only the slowish character introduction
but after the boring part it gets really good! really
I didn't sleep/eat/etc except read this manga for two days straight to the point I passed out after I finished lol
it is that good, I never read anything that went up to that manga's standard or beauty
the art is not jaw-dropping but it is decent/nice
(some reason the cover art is not good, I avoided it for 2 years (because of the cover art) and regretted it so so much for not reading this manga)
I hope you will read this manga, I truly reccomend it
I NEVER felt this strongly about reccomending manga, only this one is special to me
I just don't know how to explain it, it is so beautifully made it makes me teary
if I read this again (which I am afraid to) it'll break my heart in two again
I never felt this much love for any manga characters
I really really hope you read this and enjoy it as much as I did.
I really do hope you won't ignore it like what I did, pm/reply/etc me please I would like to know if you enjoyied it or not. (at least try it to vol.4 or 5) if you didn't like it and went up to at least vol.5 sorry for eating up your time

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

I second Concrete Garden, those two oneshots are pretty good. One of my favourites; just made me think "whoa". Concrete Garden just left me with an ethereal and out of this world feeling, and Clock Down just had that sweet heart-warming scene that just tugged my heartstrings.

Endless World is really smutty, but it's a hella good and fairly intricate lines.

Also by Jaryuu Dokuro that reeled me in was the super bittersweet third oneshot in Sugar Milk, The Lingering Scent of a Rainbow. The story has many thoughtful quotes that are quite befitting. The end leaves many possibilities for the future, and I hope for the best.

In my own opinion, I didn't like The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese (thus haven't read the sequel). I just can't see what everyone else is seeing that makes it so great. It felt rather over melodramatic, and I had trouble finding the realism in that. However, skimming and reading it over, I'm just getting mixed feelings but then again, my mind's already set.

Since I'm unnecessarily going off topic, I'll end this lastly with Kanjou Spectrum which is a popular oneshot... I found this somewhat very subtle, although it is without inside thoughts and mostly dialogue.

To add... Almost anything by Esuto Emu or Ono Natsume!

@akari_mizunashi, I'd love to have you over for tea and cakes and Monty Python yaoi one day... 🤣

This is a very great thread, I love yaoi/shounen ai which is borderline gekiga. This thread should be upped continuously. I want to add a few no brainer just for the sake accumulating titles under one thread.
Seven Days by Tachibana Venio and Takarai Rihito
Although Hana no Mizo Shiru is quite lovely, it lacks the oomph like Seven Days, must be Tachibana Venio's magic
Doushitemo Furetakunai by Yoneda Kou, but only a few first chapter.
I haven't read her other works, but she's great with pacing and expression.
Sure those I mention above is nothing compare to the works of Hagio Moto sensei and Keiko Takemiya sensei, but at least it's better than the abomination where the uke raped and magically fall in love with the seme.
