Monkey High! (licensed, 2 volumes published in English so far) has a lot of classmate fun and silly/dorky characters. It's a nice, sweet, happy shoujo 😀

And... maybe Gakuen Alice (also licensed)? There's a lot of emphasis on school and classmates and friendships in that series.

And I'll second Men's School and Sket Dance just because they are both so funny and great and thoroughly enjoyable.

...after deliberating, I'll throw a couple more out there. They might not fit perfectly, but Kare Kano and maybe Oyayubihime Infinity (also Dragon Girl by the same artist) have a fair amount of story that takes place in school, between friends/classmates/clubmates.... they're worth a try, in any case 😀

Definitely Kodomo no Omocha. I'm so shocked noone mentioned it yet. 😀
