I'm looking for manga with the main charcter either being
-
MR (Mentally Retarded, not the shonen stupid kind, actual MR)
-
Physical Disabilites
-
Austim (Asperger as well).
-
Other mental disabilites
Along these general lines. I would really like to read some...
Like IS, where they are struggling with their disorder/disability.
I looked around and didn't find anything like this so sorry if there is one already.

Limited lovers quite an interesting shoujo bout a doctor and a girl with a physical disability..
also try reading Fetish, Shigeshoushi,Franken Furan, Present and DOLL: IC in a doll..the plot of these mangas revolve around physical disabilities like blindness, disabled characters and also psychological illness.. but they're presenting these in a different context than I.S
Also, try reading Hana no namae and Brigit's dinner

Nodame is not really mentally impaired. She is just a weirdo.
Try Kingyo Sou? The male lead is deaf.
Also, in Shikeishu 042, the female lead is blind.

@oriana3k
I can't believe there actually is a manga about autism 😲
I knew there would be more about physical than mental.
I'd still want to know if there's one about MR, that's what I'm really interested in.
I make a lot of odd requests so thank you all for not getting annoyed and hunting me down and actually helping 🤣

Freesia is about a guy who's struggling with insanity, actually most of the characters are. It's a great read if you don't mind a bit of blood.

Probably an obvious one, but Welcome to the NHK! is as good an exploration of mental illness/ depression as I've found. For some reason they put cute girls on the cover and sell it as some crazy perverted stoner trip or whatever, but it's a bit more subtle and depressing (as well as funny) than that.
