ever get tired of romance mangas where after reading the first 1 or 2 volumes, you already know who'll end up with whom? i have and that's why i'm requesting this. does anyone know of a romance manga where you just don't know who'll be paired up with whom. i already know of:

School Rumble after 200+ chapters you'd think something would develop, even now i still don't know who'll be with harima but hoping for yakumo 🙄

Vampire Knight maybe because its still too early but still. a rivalry like this may take a while

Skip Beat i know it'll be ren, but maybe i'm just biased on this, who knows maybe the mangaka will throw a curve ball and make a development with sho.

Uwasa no Midori-kun again its still too early to decide, just thought i'd put it in here.

Air Gear just thought i'd put it here, i know its not a romance manga and naruto and bleach have their romantic elements but in air gear it just stands out more somehow hahaha

don't bother with Ichigo 100% since i already knew it was going to be nishino, don't know why people thought it was going to be aya. ???

preferably shounen or shoujo for some reason i can't get myself to like josei or seinen but if you feel its good please post them anyway...

i know what you mean, i don't like harems either but it doesn't necessarily have to be harems. take school rumble or vampire knight for example. now, maybe i just don't know how to define harem but oh well..

its not that i'm too young i've had my share of seinen titles too but just sometimes find it boring. maybe since i like comedy and most seinen take a more serious storyline then there are comedy seinen like azumanga daioh however i found myself falling asleep watching the anime.

In Fruits Basket, you don't know who the characters end up with 'til near the end. You just know that she's going to be with one of two. Plus, there are some predictable pairings as well as many WTF ones. It wasn't on your reading list, and I don't know whether you've read it already.

hmmm. i figured it would be with the cat at the end so i didn't include it. nodame. well i've watched the anime, can't say there were any love rivals though. why? does the manga have something?

If you watch the anime, then you are still left behind in the story itself. The anime ended in the LOVE CREEK scene but in the manga, their relationship is being put into trials...like separation and doubts, like when Chiaki had a piano concerto with a genius good-looking Chinese girl. Nodame was totally jealous... 😀

really?? now you got me interested. its just that i'm a bit reluctant reading manga about music when there's no music 🤣

I get the point. Just a suggestion, when the name of the musical score pops out in the page, try to listen for the music itself in YouTube! Hehehe... 😀

it seems you're generally asking for triangle love type of manga right? since that i'll find some.

err the only thing i can find is vampire knight.. find as in i read xD well for whoever want to help..something that is twisted and love triangle but the couple is not too straight forwardly saying they will be together.

but if you want love triangle that the couple is so obvious.. hana kimi and ituzara na kiss/it started with a kiss are something you should try.. though i don't think that is what you're finding x]

yup basically a love triangle manga but a not so obvious couple 🤨

I guess Hana Yori Dango sorta qualifies, though I don't know if you'd be interested the whole way through. There's kinda a triangle for the first few volumes where I really didn't know who to root for, but once that's cleared up, it's thirty volumes of the one main couple.

HanaYoriDango is too complicated!! plus the ending didn't feel like an ending!...from manga to the anime to the j-drama(new one!) there were three different endings!

manga

shows that they leave on the cruise ship, then shows up at this taihiti resort hotel on an island, then after a few days, domyouji leaves for NY. they have a sort of long distance relationship going onwards. shows tsukushi packing to leave that place where she lived; her mum ruins her prom dress. shows up at the prom in her dirty mud-covered clothes; dances with the rest of F4, then domyouji shows up, both promising each other. the end!

anime

shigure tricks both domyouji and tsukushi into thinking that shigure and domyouji are getting hitched, turns out that shigure planned to trick just domyouji's mum into thinking that shigure and domyouji are to be married. shigure forges a note and gives it to a female teacher to give to tsukushi, tsukushi gets mad and jumps to the ship, jump kick domyouji in the face, shigure explains and then jump off the ship, being picked up by F4 crew. then tsukushi and domyouji goes onto a world class cruise together. the end
