not sure if this has been suggested already, but i checked in the user CP and it doesn't seem to be there, but how about the option whether or not to load signatures and avatars

im sure theres a button there when u choose ur avatar which said no avatars

and if u dont want a sig u can always take it off by deleting wut u wrote or the link to a pic no?

He's (or she's) talking about a feature to not load avatars and/or signatures when viewing the forum. This means everyone's avatar/signature, not just his own.

I actually used to support this Idea, but thinking back, with the layout the way it is, i cant see it being very nice, Maybe once V2 comes out(if it ever does~ lol) It'd go better with that.

I disagree, because avatars and signs give more diversity and color to the forums. Fms would be gray and lifeless. 😔

I guess it would make it uncluttered and easier to go through posts.

Pretty interesting, it'd make it easier to find stuff with this ability.

i think the idea is ok because some of the avatars and sigs takes time to load especially if your internet connection is pretty slow

This option only switches them off for the user who enables it.
Some people have slow computers, and some of the animations here can take forever to upload.
Or maybe they just don't want them~

Heh, I'm on dial-up and I just load pages with chached images (opera). It pretty much works the same as the suggested feature.
Just load what you want =)

Never had a trouble loading since my connection is broadband but I can see why some people would get irritated. I like the sign/avatars since it helps me tell people apart. I recognise avatars/sigs more than names, lol. I guess it would be good to give people a choice though.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

I would love to have an option like this. Although, I would want to be able to turn off one or the other (or both), because sigs with images bother me (they clutter up the place; what a waste of downloading time), but I like to see avatars (most of the time anyway).
