There was a guy in my elementary. I can't say when exactly he confessed, or if he ever did in person, but it was obvious. He'd send notes to me via my friend who was in a class with him and through another who kept pushing me to give him a try. He figured out where I hung out and lingered around there until I moved away. I told him to die but he didn't get it. He somehow got my phone number and started calling me excessively. Apparently, he's liked me for two years. I didn't know who he was until he started all this stalker stuff... and was asked by a classmate if it was true that I was his girlfriend. (And he had the audacity to say he broke up with me.)

I think he's the only one though.

I don't know how many times I've been confessed to. I think most of them were from online friends. I'm really dense when it comes to these things so it's always really unexpected when it happens.

Let see... like... 6 times or something? none were very memorable

One guy wrote "Hey baby, I like you, let's go out." and crumpled it into a paper ball and threw it at me in freshman year and he meant it too. VERY CLASSY--yeah needless to say i threw it back at him.

One day I'll confess to somebody! gotta break gender stereotypes anyhow

...I sort of want to know the gender ratio on yours given that it's, well, you. Especially if it's mostly coming from people online.

A couple times in the grand manner the topic seems to convey, plus a creepy girl who followed me around for a while and was quite obvious, but never actually said anything, thank god. Unfortunately I just get the crazy ones- never anyone I actually have any interest in.

All that said, I think it's a lot more common for relationships to not have some sort of profession of love or whatever attached to them. I mean, a lot more often you just strike up a conversation at some party or bar. It doesn't have to be a long and grueling process, and honestly I'd rather it wasn't.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

9 ish?. 2 creepers, a friend I actually liked but wouldn't have worked out, a guy met at a Shakespeare festival, Several of my brother's friends (one of them more than once), a former friend who went all out on the confession and freaked me out a bit, an illegal worker at a restaurant I worked at a short time, and a Korean exchange student. Only a few of them however were your epic confession types. One (the former friend) could have come straight out of a romance novel >_>; it was rather dramatic and intense.

There are several people I suspect would confess currently if they thought I'd say yes but I have a pretty good rep around those that know me for not being interested in dating.

The worst; I was at a church conference in Arizona and talked to some guy while waiting in line for an event. He then spent the next 2 days following me everywhere. I would hide out in the bathroom for 20 minutes and come out and he'd still be there. He wanted to know where I lived, my number, my email, to hang out even though we lived on opposite sides of the country. You would have thought he would have noticed I was trying to lose him but no, and he really started to creep me out, it got so bad I wouldn't enter a room till my friends had scouted it out. A guy acquaintance from my group pretended to be my boyfriend to get rid of him and he finally backed off. Good move on his part since the guy helping me wasn't someone to mess with.

  • military boy was worse in some ways but less creepy and more inconsiderate/socially inept though he had the whole follow me around thing going on too.

edited for some pretty severe spelling errors that I could no longer stand looking at.

They were all males. I don't know if that makes it more shocking to you or not.

Too many times to count.

But it's not because I'm popular; it's because I'm old.

With that many years of being alive, even if you're a potato-head in a potato-sack (as I sometimes am), you'll have collected many confessions. One thing I've learned is that there really is 'someone for everyone'. 🤣

Never had anything like that happen to me. That doesn't really surprise me since I became socially inept as a teen.

Well...depends on what you consider a confession is...
Just like, the person telling you they like you?
Then twice.
(I didn't like them back. 😔 )

Law, I had a crush on you too! ♥ ;3 Before I found out you weren't a guy! (jk lol)

Twice, in an indirect way though...
Also, I was too dense to actually realize it at that time (around 12 years - I was soo immature at that time 😐 ) Then again, I'm a boy and it's usually the other way around (that wasn't the question though 🙂 )

I'm a guy who has been asked out three times, which is sort of awkward. Regrettably, I never went out with any of the girls though.

First time: Someone I didn't know from middle school had one of her friends ask me during lunch to go out with her. We became quasi-friends for a while there but nothing much amounted from it.

Second time: A girl I was interested in and knew for several years asked me to date one of her older friends, which I remember really hurt because I thought she was interested in me as well. I really never gave her a clear answer and sort of drifted away from both of them; which I sort of regret.

The final one I can remember was from a girl who I use to sit by and eat lunch with every day in high school. I remember her two friends always tried to give me subtle hints that she was interested in me, but I never took any of them seriously, I guess I'm sort of dense. Then one day she asked me out which really caught me off guard and regrettably I ended up turning her down. She actually started crying too which made me feel really bad; I really don't know to this day why I turned her down...
