It's not often do we see mangaka taking other mangaka's work and remake it or putting their own spin to it but there is a few. The best example I know is Pluto, a re-telling of The World's Greatest Robot story arc from Astro Boy. What are some do you know? Don't include Doujinshi or hentai on the list, only actual manga published professionally.
Examples of Mangas reintrepret by other Mangaka:
-Pluto = Astro Boy
-Devilman = Neo Devilman
-Hokuto no Ken
Examples of American comics reintrepret by Mangaka:
-Witchblade
-Spider Man
-Batman Child of Dreams
