we should be less literal to the manga with our air trek. people keep talking about how we will never reach a certain speed or never jump off a building. They are probably right...to an extent. I don't think that we can find a motor that small to deliver us enough hp to accelerate to 40 km p/h from a dead stop. But we can make an engine that will supliment our manual power. So that if we can get it started by foot and use it to boost or maintain a set speed, I think we can make an AT. Also look at all the ninja videos on you tube of the guys jumping off buildings and doing flips over gaurd rails etc. We can do that with out AT if we practice and don't give in to fears and naysayers and minor setbacks.

Personally I am glad for all the people who say we can't do it. They bring up points that we will run into eventally anyways. They just make us compensate for the minor hurdles sooner than if we had to find them by trial and error.

We will have an AT. And when we do, everyone will crap their pants.

Thats what i've been thinking aswell, that kind of engine is the present idea im working on, an engine that also works as a generator so when skating normally it recharges itself and when u want it to give u energy u just press a button on a remote or similiar. u know with the spool in the wheels and the magnetic axels.

btw, thanks that ur telling me that it will be possible. feels sometimes like im the only one that thinks that way 🙂

if you want to have this confirmed i can assure you that speeding someone on a rollerblade up to 40kmh is probably possible, cause the air drag formula (the main obstacle at high speed) it's the square of your max speed so even decreasing it of a little factor help a lot. what i have to ask you is: do you really want to keep this project on, even if the max speed we can reach is less than the one you reach on normal aggressive inline skates?

i'd fail to see a point in having a motorized inline skate that would go faster if you were actually skating. it'd be a thing for n00bs (that shouldn't have things they couldn't handle) or for lazy ppl (those i don't care <_<).

the AT u guys r making, as dancwart said, would be slower than on normal skates...

what if the motor is running AND u skate?? wait..i dun think that's possible. 😔

o well, good luck anyway! it doesn't matter of the AT is slower than normal skating. i mean, comon, u guys are only in ur TEENS. Making an actual AT that works somewhat like a real AT is already amazing. n dun 4get, it can only get even better. 🙂
