If you're really want to make that you also need to create this territory screen which will be really going to be a lot work. @allOthers: It's nice to see I'm not the only one thinking about making these ATs real. Of course it won't be possible to make them as ultra fast with the current technology but I think it should be possible to get at least 20 to 25mph out of them. Don't forget the memory cards in there. It should be possible to track some stats about the rider even if it's not close to the stats mentioned in the anime.

There are a lot thinks we need to take in mind. The biggest problem I think is going to be the engine and how we make the weels spinning without overpowering the engine. My first thought were gears but the chance they get damaged is far to high. My second thought was magnetic powered wheels. This way you can also create brakes.

Another problem is going to be the heat the engine creates. We'll need a cooling unit which guarantees a smooth walk without engine breaks.

With all this stuff in there we also need to take into account that a single AT is going to be a real power eater...

There are so much things we need to think off I think discussing in a single thread is way to less place. We could fill a single board with this.

All right. so i've been checking out this thread for the last few days. now i'm no G-nass or anything.
But i've found a motor that looks promising,the BN34,from the first table

now if i'm reading the table right we're looking at 3.4in diameter and 2.3in wide(i know a bit wider than we're looking for, but it still fits more or less inside the width of the boot.)
plus this monster should give us around 328W power and max rpm at 7550. it's a bit more powerfull than what people have said we need. with enough revs to give us some nice speed.

next with relation to suspension i've got 3 basic idea's in my head tho for structural purposes i've already ruled out the first. i''ll look to getting some images up for the other 2.

now SargoDarya mentioned cooling. which as far as i'm aware hasn't been mentioned before and to be honest i hadn't thought about it ether, but using the wheels rotation we could hopfully guide the airflow into a tunnel of sorts to cool the motor. again i'm no engineering expert, it's just my first thought.

Im quite a big fan of air gear and i have been looking for places that might have made AT's already but couldn't find any but i've stumbled upon this gold mine!!! lol I think it is amazing that you guys are tryin to make them.....i've read through almost a 3rd of the posts so im getting an idea of what you trying to do.

Just a few questions though so i can get up to speed alot faster than reading all the posts.

has anyone drawn up the schematics?

and rather than trying to find the right sized motor has anyone thought of looking for a motor that produces the needed power and changing the concept design of it to fit into the base that holds the wheels?

pneumatics seem better than hydrolics in any case but im going to go over all the manga where schematics and cuts of the AT's are shown and try draw it out to myself so i get a better understanding as to what you're trying to accomplish. some mentioned in a post i read about this link below...i feel it's best to go by this example

Hopefully i can be of help im a graphic/web designer, computer technician and i've also done engineering on train panels that control whole operations on trains i.e. lighting, doors, sound, air con etc etc

on concept designs and the actual design of the AT i think i could excel more there and be as helpful as possible.

just so you're aware for structural integrity(spelling 😛 ) i've connected both wheels onto pistons in the center. hence them being placed above each other. this drawing is to scale.
The max play on this piston is only around 20mm. soz i live in the metric world no understand inches 😛
However thinking about that your wheels are moving a lot more so this piston is gonna have to be quite stiff.

the second type which i'm not gonna do a diagram for, coz first i think this system is more plausable and second it's explained pretty well in the first post on the page that's linked in the previous post.
this system would be to connect 4 much smaller piston things to each wheel going vertical. like i said before i think system A is more plausable and easier to build.

I set up a discussion board for this with free registration at sargodarya.spacequadrat.de but I'm going to get a real domain for this. I'm working on the style but I think this might be a good start. I'm also going to set up a file manager for conceptual files there. Tell me if there's a category you want or something like that.

sure it was a beta i didnt want to put money into something that no one will join so i made to see if people would get into it then when i have enough make it completely serious but sure i will add you and contact you and work with you

@deathsabre I don't know your gender but i think i love you lol. That motor you found is amazing, you are exactly the kind of newcomer i like. The fact that you actually try and do research makes you an asset to this project. If more ppl like you followed this forum, we mighta had these done by the summer's start. I still have to look at the site a little more to see if the motor can be sold to the general public and the power requirements meen that the unit will require a backpack power supply, but all in all, an amazing find. XD

BTW; idk who said it but it was brought up that an hdd with 10000rpm may be applicable here but unfortunately, the motors in those just dont have the power to increase our speed whatsoever.

Hmmmmm I don't think you can actually make it in a practical sense. The energy required is too great for such a small size. I mean you probably can get some excellent jet fuels in there, but that's going to be expensive and will probably last for like 5 minute. And the heat from the small engine will probably need some sort of cooling system since it's practically on your feet. Sorry guys, I think this idea is not possible.

sorry blackraven i was just defending myself. I dont see why you only removed mine or why you removed the whole paragraph, some things i said in there were important to clear things up but no matter. I will just repost them now. I need to clear up the misunderstanding skyking had. What i meant was, the prototype and the basic design is something we have to work on together, but the final product that we ourselves will ride, must be built at home and fine tuned to meet our riding style. Anyway, are you guys talking about a fuel powered motor? i looked through the posts but i didn't see it mentioned. I probably just missed it, but fuel powered motors are out of the question. They are too dangerous. If we go electric, the heat generated from the motor will be much lower and the motor would be cooled just from the air rushing past it as we are moving. ]
BTW you gave me a warning level 3 for that? I unederstand i need to watch my language on the forum but calling a repeat offender for bashing? This is the first i've personally attacked someone so i don't see your reasoning. I'll let it go, but i think you should rethink your punishments later on.

If it was merely bashing, I would have just left it and warned you...It was removed on the basis of abusive language...
