I vote family but for me that's my husband and our babies so it's the family I made by choice.

But really, when you're 85 years old, all you really have left is family. My grandma, as an example, has already lost most of her friends or they live so far away, so she only really has family left. (And I consider my Grandma really lucky since she's one of only a few who has really great friends that she's had for over 60 years.)

You can't call them friends if you hate them... Love isn't going to be on top.. I guess I would go for family.. Immediate family.. Not cousins or anything. Just because they are "blood". I probably like my friends more. But I think family is more important. And I didn't have too good of a childhood so do chalk it up to that. I mean, I despise my brother and dislike my father.. But I'm incapable of hating so I still feel like they're more important.

i voted family, i'm not a social person, i have 3 friend, the rest are just college mates and such, i prefer to be wih my family rather than my friends, sure we fight from time to time but thats cause we love each other, as for love, that'll just have to wait till i get there >.>;; --->never fell in love....

Family is nothing but similar genetics. Just because someone was nice enough to pass me their DNA, doesn't make them a good person. Family doesn't get anything from me by default. If your family is nice to you and brought you up in a nice stable healthy environment, then you should choose them. If they are a bunch of selfish manipulative jerks, then you wouldn't, right?

Friends come and they go. More than likely you will not have a friend your entire life. I had a best friend in 1st grade, he stole my Muscle Man toy and we had a fight and I nocked his tooth out. We were never fiends again. I had a friend in high school, we graduated high school and didn't keep in touch. I had a friend in the military, he is dead. I had some friends last year, they drink too much and I don't drink so they don't like to hang out with me anymore. Friends are not something that lasts forever.

Love? WTF is love? A desire to [figuratively] chain a person to you and spread your DNA? "I like this person, I will use them to help me people the world!" Love is silly.

Needless to say I didn't vote.

I believe friends are most important than any of the other ones. Mainly because I don't really care for anyone in my family. Also if I did like someone in my family then that would be considered a friend, correct? As for the love, I believe it is important, but who needs love when you can go out to a bar and pick of some woman you will never talk to after the next day?

You do have a point... actually all of these options are just
something I have to satisfy my own needs and vice-versa.

by family i mean blood relation. do we have to love our family members just bcuz we share the same genes? hell no. my gramma used that excuse over the years to convince me that i belong to her. and at the same time my friends explained to me that stuff like that r wrong.
over the years i got more love and support from the friends i chose than from my blood relatives.
love can also be some crush from first sight. u dont really know the person and you dont really know when hell leave you.
basically i believe that good, reliable long time friends r more important cuz they were chosen by me, and i know whats best for myself.

Yes, I'm going with this. I actually voted family, because that's always been the center of my life. But really, I haven't had experiences with love to be able to say that either. But is a family really just blood, or do you define it differently. What about adopted children?

For all you Naruto fans out there, this is one of the main issues there. Are Sasuke and Itachi really brothers? Where's the family in that? Where is Sasuke's real family? That's why I voted what I did. Friends can become family. Friends are more like acquaintances. A best/very close friend is the same as a favorite sibling.
