Quote from Whatever

Anything by Shinjo Mayu where the heroine is raped and just takes it and does nothing to save herself. When will I see a heroine kick her rapist in the balls rather than blush and run? Never. Cause its not kawaii enough. >^_~<....

I think those smut "bishies" who go out of their way to "love" unconditionally through rape are far faker and more unbearable than the girls raped and doing nothing. 🤢 However, they don't seem to be criticized as often as the girls.

I thought Special A was very, very, VERY annoying. The beginning was repetitive and Hikari...I just didn't like her very much. There could have been more character development. And a lot of things didn't add up. Hikari and Kei and everyone had been together since childhood, yet Hikari didn't know about...what's-his-name-Akira's-stalker-dude and she hadn't been to Kei's house before in one chapter, yet it shows her going there as a kid in yet another one...

Just too many inconsistencies for my tastes 🙁

Special A was annoying.....VERY inconsistent and got bored very often. Didn't really care about anyone except for kei & hikari so when they got into the side story, I just didn't CARE.

Vampire Knight was...ugh..i can't even describe it. I lost interest quickly.

Parfait Tic- Hate the girl. It was reasonable that she fell in love with the second guy after the first rejected her, but then she comes back to the first guy? WTF? I was pissed & dropped it.

Nana - dropped. Too depressing and dramatic. I couldn't see the "light to the end of this tunnel"

Kare First Love - Girl has no backbone. She cries at almost everything and has no confidence in herself. She gets pushed around and can't even say "No" sometimes.

Fall in love like a manga - every aspect of your typical gooey shoujo rolled into one storyline. It was too freaking "perfect" and predictable, especially the ending. God, it was like eating something that was too freaking sweet.

  • Skip Beat - can't even go further than 7 chapters; way too boring

  • Koukou Debut - I was excepting something more...nothing happened. It was ok.

  • Toshiue no Hito - I think it's plain disguising if you like a girl that looks 10 years old.

+Nana - It was really good at the beginning, but now it's to sad. Dropped it.

  • Any Yuu Watase's works.

I'll come back to this, I'm sure there's more.

This is not shoujo.

Back to the topic. I don't remember ever being able to read any cutesy fluffy shoujo romance or romantic comedy no matter they are popular or not.

Skip Beat - Yeah it has it's good points but I really don't find why people give it such I ratings. It seems like the artist is milking this series for every thing it has so it's going no were very fast.

Ouran Koukou Host Club - I just seem a real plot, but it has been a long time since I've any of this series.

The Wallflower - just seems never ending and story isn't going anywhere.

Absolute Boyfriend- I bought it just because I like Yuu Watases works. I just didn't like the direction the story went.

Forbidden Dance - I don't like dance movies so I don't even know why I have this series. I didn't like the artwork that much and I found the story very cliche.

Those are the only ones that I've read, that I couldn't find what the big deal was about them.
But to be fair I like kind of cheesy, dramatic, girlie bs mangas. (it's a vice ^_^ and I do know the difference between a good one and a bad one).

Ahh, I'd say Yuu Watase's works. Those are just complete nonsense. No offense to the author, though.

Special A. really boring, and characters are allways the same, where is the development? I´m having trouble with finishing it.

Wallflower Yuck. Dropped it in the first vol.

Hana Yori Dango At first the main char showed promise but later she cries too much.

Uwasa no Midori-kun Don't like the art. Story sucked too.

Vampire Knight Only read a bit of it. It's waaaaay overrated.

Skip Beat Beginning was great, I thought it showed promise. But then it started to suck and I tolerated it for a few vol. but when it didn't get better so I dropped it. Art sucked.

Hot Gimmick It's just BLEH.

Nana It's just not my thing.

Hana Kimi I like this manga's plot, it's pretty interesting. But why is the main char so dense?! It's funny though. I don't care for the art. It sorta sucked.

Yuu Watase's work. It sucked a lot. Especially Absolute Boyfriend and Ayashi no Ceres.
