As the title suggests, I'm looking for a romantic or light love story where the male lead is struggling to get the girl to give him a chance. He's made his feelings clear but she refuses to consider him or even try getting to know him better. Especially looking for stuff where the girl won't give the boy a chance because she has a crush on someone else. I just started wanting this after reading the end of Hatsukoi Limited. One of the heroes is a geek who's in love with a girl who has her own crush that is doomed to remain unrequited. The girl at the end talks of the importance of cherishing a first love even if it's unrequited, implying but not confirming that at least for a while she'll continue to pine for her lost love while knowing the geek's pining for her. I basically want something where the girl knows the guy's feelings and appreciates them but the guy has to work to get her to give him a chance, or maybe offers/asks to at least start as friends with hopes that getting to know him will make her love him.

First one that popped into my head was the classic Love Hina.

Definitely worth checking out if you haven't done so already.

A recent fav of mine thanks to a previous request. And yeah, it does fit in a way, in a slightly complicated way since there's two of her and all.

Yeah, but I liked the way it ended.

The original fell for him like the copy so instead of over writing the feelings for him, it just doubled them.

Oh more suggestions:

Kimi no Iru Machi

Suzuka

Last Game

Watashi ni xx Shinasai!

I loved the end too 🙂 . Felt a little inevitable since the idea of actually overwriting like that would not sit well, but still came out awesome. Too bad he doesn't write more non-hentai.
I've read the first chapter of Last Game and am starting Watashi ni XX Shinasai on your suggestion. I'll check out Kimi no Iru Machi as well. Don't think I'll go for Suzuka just because I've heard people talk of it (and much of the author's works) as guaranteed rage.

Last Game is probably my favorite shoujo. I REALLY wish they would do an anime for it.

I thought Watashi ni XX Shinasai was a fun read. Though the main girl is pretty fickle so be ready for that.

Well Seo Kouji's work has a lot of melodrama, but Suzuka is really good. What people hate is Fuuka, its sequel.

Seo Kouji always has a death in his mangas that affects a character usually the main girl. Well, he decided to kill off Fuuka herself like 30 chapters in and replaced her with another girl named Fuuka who is now the love interest of the main guy character. People thought it was fucking stupid and many dropped it. They were reading Fuuka because of the connection to Suzuka. The first Fuuka who dies is the daughter of the Suzuka.

If you want to discuss any of those titles when you are done, hit me up in a pm.
