Hey,

I'm looking for a good historical yuri/josei to read.. I'm having a hard time finding one... Josei and Yuri (aimed at women, not men please!) are not that popular to find! =( If there's no such thing, any recommendations for good Josei/yuri?

This should be in Yuri/Yaoi.

And yeah, this isn't the easiest thing...
Maybe older shoujo ai shoujo? Many of the classics were published in shoujo magazines, but they often don't seem to fit the demographic of younger girls.

Definitely Hatshepsut.

And... Claudine...!
Shiroi Heya no Futari
Moonlight Flowers (not actually historical though)

The plot isn't the best, but it's decent.
And with so few GL (especially the female oriented ones),
I take what I can get, tbh. >_>;

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

Kurogane Pukapuka Tai and Flower Flower are the only ones I can think of that even come close...

Check out Paros no Ken. It's got a fairy-tale Medieval kind of setting.
You might like Rose of Versailles, although most of the romance is straight; there are plenty of yuri vibes and one serious yuri unrequited love affair.

Here are a couple oneshots, both set in girls' schools in the Taisho era:
The Cherry Tree Correspondence
Whispers Under the Roses

Here are some oneshots that have a historical fantasy kind of setting.
Flowers Dwelling in a Forest Manor
Lily White
Nightmare Syndrome
Testify

Flower Flower is nice. I thought it was male-oriented at first, but that's not really the case. The love affair is very decent and there's no ecchi or anything, so I'm fairly certain you'll like it.

As for Claudine...! - it's realistic GL, which means unrequited love and tragedy, with no actual couples or happy endings; you have been warned.

I second Hatshepsut and Paros no Ken.

On the contemporary front, definitely Pieta - it's wonderful.
Sweet Lovin' Baby is okay, but I'd recommend only the chapters Sweet Lovin' Baby and Doomed Love. The others two chapters aren't really worth the read.

You could also look at the titles here and here.

Edit - You might want to try Clover (OTSU Hiyori) and Otome Cake as well.

Honey & Honey is quite nice; and very realistic because it's written according to the author's personal experiences.

Princess Kaguya
"Sakurahime Hanafubuki" from Rakuen no Jouken
Sakura Namiki
The Promised Finger
Hakodate Youjin Buraichou Himegami
"Château Rouge" from Dark Age (AZUMA Kenji) (be sure to read the warnings first)
Snowflakes Fluttering Down Through the Clear Sky (this one's more fantasy than historical)
