I have only started to enjoy Hip-Hop thx to the recommendation of this thread 😎 So far my favs would be in no particular order.

Immortal Technique - Brutal Lyrics, great socio-political commentary
Lyrics Born - there is something about his voice that I just fucking love
Common - Doesn't really need an explanation....just great
KRS-One
Rakim
Mos Def

I got lazy for the last 3 😛

nowadays most rappers are wack and into ringtones....its sad...one example is V.I.C. and Soulja Boy Tell'em (i dislike them)...also now most rap i think dont hav substance to talk bout...its always bout drug, money, and cars and its not a bad thing but maybe talk bout something new so more ppl will listen...like the old days with Biggie, Tupac, the old Death Row, Jayz, Nas, Eminem and them....they are good not Soulja Boy and these new one hit wonders

o_O There's actually good rap!!! 😕
I rarely listen to rap music anymore because of how bad it is and how stupid it sounds. But I do listen to some rappers: like common and lupe fiasco. But the bad rappers: soulja boy tell'em(stupid name btw), hurricane chris(also a stupid name). This is way I usually listen to alternative and r&b
