So how does manga influence your real life choices?
Basically, does manga/anime affect real world decisions that you make? Perhaps you act a certain way now just because you read Naruto (think of all the little kids running around like ninjas...) Or perhaps you listen to classical music more because of Nodame Cantabile. Or any number of possible influences...
Question: Other than the time/money spent enjoying it, does manga/anime influence your real-life decisions?
Choices:
Yes - votes: 4920 (45.2%)
No - votes: 5972 (54.8%)
There were 10892 total votes.

Hmm...
Not really.
Though I get more interested in things because of manga~ Doesn't affect much of any, if at all, of my decisions.

Not at all òÖ. Sometimes they make me think about certain things, but that is all.

Sometimes i do my hair with some hairstyles i see in manga, or i found a dress (or shoes 😛 ) really cute and i search something that resembles it in my city's stores! 😀
But i think that manga are beautyful because they are "unreal", so i don't let them affect my reality.

Sure, they affect me. Especially the antagonists 🤣
It's funny how example was set for starting listening classical music more after reading Nodame Cantabile. That's what happened to me. Maybe there were more examples, but I can't think of them right now.

Not at all. I don't like to mix reality and manga together.
I usually lose interest in things, so even if I find something interesting in a manga, it's more likely that I'll get uninterested in a few minutes after. XD

It doesn't. I think that most forms of entertainment should never be taken too seriously, epsecially things that I read.

Yes. I think it's that way with everyone whether they realize it or not. Everything influences you, good and bad. Especially different forms of media, entertainment or otherwise, a fact that has been proven in multiple instances in today's societies. It may be indirect of direct, and it won't influence everything, but many who voted 'no' even acknowledge that it 'sometimes' has influence. Our decisions are based on life experiences, and part of those experiences is our entertainment.
I probably quoted lines from manga/anime to answer certain questions... XD

I must say that no.
Maybe my fujoshi part induces somewhat more fantasies into my subconscious than it should, but it doesn't affect my decisions or relationships.

i agree with lindsayjo87. even though i don't think that most of the decisions i make are influenced by manga, the subjects often make me think, and probably influence my life in some way. for example, Death Note and Bitter Virgin.
Quote from Perim
I use Timotei (Lucky Star - anime) and recently Microsoft flew out the window as I changed to an Ubuntu desktop (Ubunchu! - online manga).
My sister thinks I'm weird because of this. 🤣
Lose - Opposite of win, to misplace something/someone. e.g. To lose your way, to lose a fight.
Loose - Opposite of tight. e.g. To have a loose screw, to loosen a jar lid.

It influences my decisions in small ways, just like any other media medium. For example: where I go on vacation and what I want to see. Purchases such pens and rice cookers 🙂

Yes, it does...not in large ways (that I've noticed) but in smaller ways it certainly does.
I'm learning Japanese (off & on, on my own) due to wanting to be able to read manga in the original language. Reading manga has led me to the world of Japanese, Taiwanese, and Korean dorama, which in turn has led me to most of the music I listen to these days. When I read about food in manga that sounds good, I sometimes buy/make it to see what it's like. That kind of thing. 😃

Usually anime/manga doesn't influence me outside of time and money, which incidentally is a lot of time and money. Exceptions often involve seeing an obscure reference that makes me do a few google searches. This happens so often though that I usually chalk it up as time lost to anime/manga anyway. Three Stooges videos on the other hand, especially when intoxicated makes me do really dumb things.
