I think i will give it a try... but the name.... OMG
Übel Blatt means at first glance Evil Paper (Blatt means one piece of paper, and Übel is also sick for example Mir ist Übel = My stomache feel sick.... but i guess it has a touch of evil)
I think the author meant Blade but there are Sägeblatt (http://www.saegeblatt-shop.de/) but thats not the same as a Blade wich is Klinge (http://messerschmied.net/start1.htm).
Why dont't they get a german mail friend and ask beforehand... this title is just OMG
If the Title should mean Evil Blade in german it has to be sth. mor elike Üble Klinge and not Übel (wich is the wrong form) and Blatt wich is the wrong word (even if it has the relation over saw blades:sägeblätter)... but i guess GERMAN ha MUZUKASHII desu!ドイツ語は難しいです。(german is hard).

Well, it seems they like using foreing language terms, but don't have good knowledge about the language they are using. I died several times while reading Bleach, while it might be appealing for some people, it's not for native speakers of that language. But well, it sells, and we get to read manga 🤣

I belive, in cases like these, we shouldn't really put much thought into the title, no matter how wrong or weird it sounds. As long as it sounds okay/cool 🤣

Haha, thats the point: It just doesn't sound cool when you are a native speaker and you know what the "cool" sounding words really mean.
But yeah, for the most part the mangakas only put together "cool" sounding (in their own minds) foreign words into their works because well, they sound cool?
I've noticed how they especially like to wrongly use Deutch. I suppose it's because of the harsh pronunciation of some words?

Yeah, I've heard the title be brought up dozens of times in discussions about this manga (as well as the titles of individual chapters), but it doesn't bother me much since I know little to no German. But it does make me cringe a little when I see phrases like "Hey! Let us going!" or "Thats me pencil." (what are they Scottish or something). 😕
Gantz and Bleach are good examples of how not to use the English language. As long as it vaguely resembles its intended phrase I can put up with it. Although "Evil Paper" (while still being awesomely hilarious) is still hard to look over. 🤣

Heh, I am german and the name of this manga was the main reason why I first didn't wanted to read it. The name just doesn't make sense in german!
I think the author wanted the name to be "Grausame Klinge" or "Böse Klinge" which means "Cruel Blade" and "Evil Blade". That's my only guess. But still.. those two just sound stupid. 🤣 That makes "Übel Blatt" better, 'cause it sounds somewhat mysterious. You can't tell, if they mean some evil sheet of paper or perhaps the ferocious leaf. 😀

i don't think that the title means evil paper i try translate in google it say that it translate to "evil hand" maybe that is what the author wants the title to be.

Eh, native German speakers are saying that it's like that. I think that they're more reliable than some random Google translation.

there are many meanings for "übel":
adjectives:
disgusting, sick, nasty, nauseous, evil, severe, unpleasant, bad, ugly, smelly, vicious, dangerous, gross, ill
adverbs:
ill, disreputably, unglily,evilly
nouns:
evil, malady
as for "blatt":
nouns:
leaf, page, sheet, blade, (news)paper, folio, hand[e.g. your hand in poker]
now try to find the right meaning in english if we even don't know it in german

No, he's right. Tite Kubo does seem to have some titles that use less than perfect English grammar.
The actual title of that chapter is "Four Arms to Killing You". On top of that there are chapters titled "Don't Believe The Hide", "Swang the Edge Down", and my favorite, "If You Call me Beast, Kill You Like Tempest"
