I love how a lot of guys responded and said they did cry. They didn't say the man pharse "I'm a man! Real men don't cry!" coughMamasmilkcough

I'd cry for about a little more than 5 minutes, I wanna say. I don't really time it. But once I read a part that is really sad I cry and continue reading as I'm crying. And days and or hours later, I think about it again and starting all over again.

I think my biggest cry manga was Hana Yori Dango. This was the first manga I read on a computer file. My neighbor sent it to me and a whole bunch of other stuff too. I started read it at around chapter 22-23. And I cried so much even without know what was going on. I loved it so much I read the whole thing, from the beginning of course. 😀 🤣 😢

Why do you have to cry at those sad moments..? I've never cried either at a manga or anime.. So I don't see the reason why you must cry.. When there are of those 'cry' moments, I just find it sad.. But I don't want to cry or something.. 😀

Also, it has nothing to do macho bullsh!tness.. Don't stereotyp(sp?).. >.> Besides, I'm sure other women here have never cried at a manga/anime before..

😕 wasn't it "Only real men cry"? or something like that...besides, over here being too macho usually means the guy is insecure of his gender 🤣

I'm a guy and I cried at at few manga namely I's, Video Girl Ai, Slam Dunk (at the end when they finally win the game), Ichigo 100% and the Suzuka anime last episode

thats what I love about manga, when I cry while reading a manga I feel satisfaction and the manga is all I can think about for a few days after that

I don't usually cry when I read manga or anime... but it's a whole different story when I'm watching a live action drama. I turn into a cry baby.

Forever Honey (I cry whenever I reread this, unfortunately)

Oh gawd, Forever Honey T__T

I love that and it's only a one shot, so I think I cried longer than I read it. 🤣

Actually, now that you mention it, I only cry when I read some manga. I don't cry when I watch tv or anything else. Even when it is really sad. I actually found those parts a bit dull and boring. (i.e. The Notebook)

I'm not a very romatic person am I?

The notebook was....it was good ;_;
The ending was pretty romantic. I mean, how often does that happen?

I didn't say it wasn't a good movie. It was, considering I'm not a very romantic person. It just didn't make me cry.

I bet you cried. 😀

Tears were coming out from my eyes, I didn't actually cry, but yea its in someway moved my heart.

EDIT: never felt moved once when watching jdrama/live action, somehow I just dont get the feel, japs actors mostly are bad :/

I wouldn't really call it crying, I only ever shed a single tear for manga
I've only ever really cried (the kind where you cant do anything but cry) twice in my life, both at deaths in the family.

i was raised to be macho, didn't really pan out. I think it takes a real man to cry, I havent gotten there yet

I didn't shed a single tear when my grandfather died, I don't know it was rather like something unreal, "something is changing" is the feeling I got. Perhaps I wasn't so close with him, but even though I spend quite a time of my childhood with him.

I get teary-eyed while reading manga & watching dorama all the time. 😃

Of course, I've also been known to get teary-eyed over commercials on the radio, sappy songs, etc. - all the things I used to think "oh geeeez!" when my mom got teary-eyed about them. 🤣

I swear, there's something about having babies that messes up the tear ducts. 🤢 I really don't like crying & I feel stupid getting teary-eyed over stuff that really doesn't matter, but it's something I have no control over, it just happens no matter how hard I try to stop it. 😔

Important stuff like someone dying, I'll cry about & don't feel like I shouldn't.
