I'm the crybaby of the family. I don't even remember how many times I've cried due to an anime or manga, but I do remember crying at the epissode of Pokemon where Pikachu almost left. Well... that was a long time ago, but I reckon I'd cry again.

Never saw the anime, and the manga never made me even remotely sad.

Maybe your definition of "sad" is different then. I have always found the slaughter of good and/or innocent people "sad", although other emotions exist there as well, such as frustration and anger. A lot of folks here are defining "sad" in terms of broken romance and the like.

What emotions did you feel when reading Gantz? Not trying to be insulting; I'm simply curious.

Truthfully I can't remember. I think I haven't read Gantz in months. But the only part that I remember to be sad was Kei saves his gf and she doesn't remember him and he doesn't remember her. But that felt like "poor guy" and thats it nowhere close to making me cry. Mostly I had no emotions towards Gantz, I really didn't care for the characters in it.

yeh that manga was quite surprising it started off a some silly romance story but halfway through to the ending, it just felt like an entirely different manga

Cry? the first time I read a shounen ai manga, it already made me cry a lot. That's Boys next door, you know.
And till now, I can't count how many times I've cried when I read/watch anime and manga. I cry even in the happy scenes. biggrin

hoh, I'd say I cried allot, for 2 different reasons.
Because something very funny happens, or it's just a touching ending smile.

The one I remember the best is Aishiteruze Baby , the anime was a big disappointment. But the manga!, the ending made me really cry ^^

The only anime that made me cry a little was Air, I hate drama'sbigrazz

I've cried at a few animes, and some mangas too. And I'm a guy.
Usually I just choke up. Mostly at powerful scenes, doesn't really have to be sad, just...powerful.
Like the scene in One Piece when Ruffy goes to face Arlong and leaves his hat with Nami. That one made me cry.
And there are countless anime endings I've cried at.

I don't like other people to see me cry, but I don't feel that there's anything wrong about crying.
According to my girlfriend, who knows something about everything (XD), crying is good because apparently tears contain stress hormones. Explains why you feel better after crying.

I agree :/ The story started sad and end sad, just the whole plot is sad >_> tragic indeed.

I cried...alittle...when Clare kissed Raki "goodbye". I was like "you bastard don't let her go she's going to her death stay with her, NOOOOO!!."

I also got coked up and full of righteous fury when in AirGear Sora betrayed Ikki and talked about him being trash and he would take care of him later on."You bastard he trusted you like a brother!"*sobs under covers in bed)

Gantz I was like "NO WAY!!! eek Damnit man I feel your pain! That bastard will pay for killing her, freaking son of a bitch gut his ass!!" *needs a hug*

Yes of course!
Every single time Naruto says "dattebayo", and
every single time someone says "Sasuke-kun".

I die a little bit inside.
