we need some balance in the strength of elements, to make it more interesting, lol...
im sure water will hurt him more then it will hurt normally for a fire... but seriously, yea lava is hotter then fire considering it can go to sun temperature at one point, and it can more of PUT OUT fire since its a liquid at the same time, a burning hell-like liquid.
but im also curious if there is a logia for water, i mean considering every devil fruit user's weakness is water to begin with, so maybe thats why oda is avoiding the water logia, but then again its actually the materials in the ocean that they are weak against... but still if one can control the water, then im sure that they have a huge advantage due to the fact that they can just simply dump the sea on the people...

Sighs.. I saw the title of the chapter and I already have a picture of how the ending will be like for this chapter. But I still can't resist it! I read it and kinda regret doing so.. 2 chapters ago, Ace was finally free and 2 chapters later he's dead. Actually, I thought that after Whitebeard's death, Ace will probably led the crew and try to conquer one piece instead.. But I never though that he would die now.. Seeing how devastated Luffy is, I am feeling very upset too.. I am kinda worried that he will go crazy because of Ace's death. With Grap being treated as a traitor, I wonder if he will still stays on with the Marines. I really do think that after this arc, Luffy will become even stronger so that he can protect those to are important to him.

I am looking forward to the next chapter, and am wondering how Oda is going to continue from here..

Another thought:
What will happen to the whitebeard pirates?

Maybe Ace will be revived and becomes the boss at the end? It would be a bit roo cliched, nut heck. Darth Vaders happen.

Ace was blocking the attack for luffy so if he did turn into fire wouldnt that just defeat the purpous of it cause if hes not solid he wont "block" since fire aint solid and wont burn lava

so that might explain it 😐

oh and people have been crying over fictionnal people for a long time now

movies, novels, cartoons people have always been crying over things like that
cause whats importent aint the media or wether or not its "real" or fictionnal characters
its the story that counts 🙂

on onepiece movie 2 or 4 where the boss kuma could turn to steel as his abilities did have a subordinate who is a water logia user (the female one)

@mike0dude: I agree with you about how did Ace got burned although he is fire. It's because he's solid at that moment, since he's blocking Akainu's attack from reaching Luffy. That difinitely makes sense.

though i understand what you mean, even if that managed to happen the story doesn't lessen. Pell is kind of a good example of it.

i dont count or use fillers or movies or some OVAs into account to predicting any kind of the actual story came up by the actual author... cause as far as i know most fillers/movies/some OVAs are not done by the actual author, though they might possibly give certain words to it to maybe avoid any kind of conflict in his later written stories... but still sometimes they screw it all up...

also it wasnt really a water logia... one was liquid (or honey) and the other was some kind of rainish toxic like looking thing... so im strictly talker about pure water (H20)
