1. I don't know if it's true.. >.< But I assume that the death penalty is more likely to be executed on colored people.. So that's not fair at all.. But correct me if I'm wrong..

I don't think that you are wrong.

I think i heard somewhere that China does ~90% of all executions on world. Im not sure about this though.

They even have the execution van, for execution on the go. 🤣

Also I believe execution does not in anyway punish criminals rather it just removes these harmful individuals from society permanently for rest of the people.

100% For it when it comes to serious crimes such as:

  1. Rape
  2. Murder
Can't think of anything else right now. But I find rape a much bigger sin than murder.

Yeah, like when a Sorority girl drinks 3 beers and get's it on with some frat boy, but later regrets it and calls the cops to tell them it was rape because she was drunk. Frat boys should be killed anyways.

Also people who mutilate animals and post it on th einternets for laughs should be killed.

Certain gov't officials that make us go to war so they can funnel funds to their own munitions companies should be killed.

Meat and Dairy company presidents who feed us mutated, disease ridden, unclean food products and tell us that it's healthy should be killed.

The guy that cut me off on the way to work and then drove 20 miles below the speed limit should be at least mortally wounded.

@Conquestor - If you have a problem with unions, you should read "the Jungle" by Upon Sinclair so you can see why Unions are neccessary. If you still think unions are bad after reading that, you probably voted for Bush. In reality it was big business that killed the manufacturing- first with unsafe working conditions and unfair wages and hours, and then with outsourcing.

I was talking about real rape not the one when a guy sleeps with a girl and then she finds out he has a gf and claims she was raped.

Problem is It happens often enough and Police and the justice system tend to believe the woman more often than not.

Who has ever heard of a woman raping a man?
Can you not laught at the thought?
Getting accused of rape is pretty much
like putting meat to the table
with knives.

All joking aside, I don't support the death penalty. If (in America) rights to food, clothing, education, and shelter were given (instead of capitalist views, like "if you wanted to eat/be warm/have shelter you would have worked harder) to every bodythere would be a lot less need for things like prison and death penalty. Even the drug problem in America could be solved if we opened more rehabs and less prisons.

When I was in Los Angeles County Jail a few months ago I only met three types of criminals - those that were addicted to meth-amphetamines, people who couldn't pay traffic fines, and people who either forgot or didn't know they were to appear in court and had a warrant out.

The only people that need to be put down are the deranged killers like Charley Manson and Ted Kazinsky and Richard Ramirez - but we won't kill them cuz guess why? - Cuz they are crazy! How silly is that?

Actually in Soviet Russia there were cases where 30+ women would tie up one guy, get him hard, tie his dick so it won't go limp, and rape him.

Yes, it does happen, but were they sent to die
or did they even get 10 years?

Just look at that situation with the Duke lacrosse team that woman basically ruined three guys life for a year. Furthermore, the number of companies that are going to hire them after they graduate is fewer because they won't want the publicity.

But back on topic I think the Death penalty while seemingly justified is more a watse of time, money and resources that could be better spent elsewhere.

I don't have a problem with unions in general, but manditory unions DID kill our manufacturing industry.

Look at your average chinese manufacturing job, 80 hours a week, extremely low pay, unsafe working conditions/no representation for workers.

That is what our jobs would be like withought unions, however some people (Prisoners in jail for life/a long period of time) would be willing to do that, so I don't see the problem with allowing them to choose if they want the job or not.

For the record, i am against manditory work for prisoners, as those who choose not to clearly don't want to be re-integrated into society.

I agree. On an ethical level, I would support the death penalty since some people have ruined other people's lives for some unjustified BS reason and I believe they deserve to die. However, logically speaking it is really more important right now in this point in time to help saving lives rather than taking them away, given the major events in the US, where I live, such as Katrina and those southern california wildfires. There are tons of resources (ie. money) being put into the death penalty that could go elswhere. Hell, even when it's being debated on whether or not it should be legal or not in the US redirects valuable resources to the death penalty.

On the rape thing. There's an essay by Nancy Gibbs (don't know if anyone mentioned it) called "When is it rape?" That discusses rape and the certain legal issues behind it. Anywho, accusing someone of rape is frickin serious. Another example of a false rape accusation would be the film "The Life of David Gale". His life and career was utterly destroyed and he went into the moral issues of the death penalty as well, such as what IF the person who is sentenced to die is really innocent? (The Green Mile makes you reflect about this as well).

Here's the link if you want to read ithttp://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1101910603-157165,00.html (warning, it's kind of long).
