that would take time. Meanwhile the damage is already done. Unless someone report the change on wikipedia, they aren't going to find out. One time when I was searching for mouse, the article told me a mouse is a girl called jenny who cheated on all her bf.

Yeah, I already said I mixed the Aztecs with the Mayans, a huge mistake, but understandable.

However you seem to put the Precolumbian civilizations on the level of the stone age or some sort of cheap civilization that was so underdeveloped that couldn't have done anything against the spaniars.

I was pointing out that their backwater civilization (as many other cultures used to portrait them) was far more advanced than the European civilization that destroyed them (at least in some fields) and in terms of mathematics and physics was even more advanced than ours (present time).

With the way your post was written I thought you were saying that you don't believe "something" will happen in 2012 not because is very unlikely, but because they where idiots that couldn't even save themselves, and that is why I got mad.

My "incoherent" post was an answer to that, they where not idiots, they where very advanced and they deserve respect.

PS: Why more advanced that ours?

They could do with their brains what we can only do with several supercomputers doing calcs, that means they had formulas that worked a thousand times better than the ones we have now, and as thus where more advanced than ours.

I think the Change prediction has more to do with astrology than Nukes in your backyard, who knows maybe by 2012 a comet is going to destroy earth or a meteor shower is going to cause some serious damage to our way of life... no one knows for sure...

But since the NASA (I think other agency is in charge or that) early detection of stellar bodies is greatly underfunded maybe the comet/asteroid is already heading our way and we won't see it until the last months of our lives

Is something that makes people think 😃

Yea. I'm just hanging around here cuz everyone's posts sound so intresting.. I couldn't help thinking bout the "Apocalypto" film scene where the mayans did human sacrifice and were expecting the Solar eclipse to happen that day. (although movie critics argued the inaccuracies of that film..)

but yea. they're good. but it's similar to any other civilisations. (although ancient history's not my interest..)

When you predict the future you never say good things are going to happen

If you do, people would just relax and expect "the good things"

However if you say bad things will happen, people would work their asses to avoid said bad things

I can bet my money that one of the reasons neither US or Russia used their nukes during the cold war was because the similar scenario described by nostradamus (dead by raining fire)

That is why there are so many world end predictions, is because they could become true that our leaders are so careful with what they do... (not BUSH, but you get the point)

Can't we make good predictions too? So it will encourage the people to work for that goal? I predict world peace in 30 years. Now everyone, hug each other and bring love to the world. 🤣
