It's easy for me to recognize characters by their face, but their names are a completely different story. Sometimes I even forget the protagonist's name if I rushed through the manga.

How about you guys?

i can name all the one piece characters tho!

Yeah, sometimes I do...not so much now that Japanese names are more familiar to me, but if the story doesn't really grab me then I still forget the names sometimes.

i completely feel you on this one. Sometimes drawings are really similar for two different characters and i sometimes even get confused with who's who. But with the names, i forget them all the time, i just remember them with faces. I mean i couldn't list them off, if i took a while i could probably remember a few. The easiest ones are the ones like zatch bell, or like naruto where the name is the title then you can't forget

I can't even remember real people's names. I actually have a much easier time remembering anime character's names, though I'm still not that great. I don't generally forget a face in mangas, at least not if the artist doesn't make them look just like someone else.

Sometimes for me. It really depends on how often I read the manga and how unique there names are. For me I have trouble remembering the korean names in manwha.

I forget them if I havent read the series for a week, but their's only one series where I forget EVERYBODY except one -Usui from Kaichou wa Maid-Sama xD Otherwise... im not too bad at remembering 😛

Nope for Long series, but i usually forgot the minor character's name. 😛

I recognize the main chars names when I see them but I can't remember their names without reading the manga. Just a few series I really like are an exception. But the names of others minor chars ..... sometimes I must go back a few chapters to see who's who 🤢

I forget names when the manga is not very interesting or when there are many characters with their names mentioned. The funny thing is that I never forget long, complicated names but only the simple ones - I kept forgetting Nami's name (from One Piece). Or Naoe from Mirage of Blaze.

I forget the names of people I've been classmates with for 4 years after only 1 year of not seeing each other. So my choice should've been obvious if it weren't for the fact these characters keep popping up in sites I visit.

if you like the manga / character/IRL Person you would remember their names[could switch like with disslike i guess]
humans dont like to add on information that is not relevant to them so its not that strange to forget for them unimportant information

I practicly never read the names 😐
I just registrate the "looks" of the name.
