I think Kekkaishi will. I personally love that manga. im no sure about others but i hope D. Gray Man will continue for a while. i love that manga. I wish Fullmetal could continue but it ended one a good note so im happy about that.
i don't think it's possible for Kekkaishi anymore since it already ended. so it's probably gonna be some manga that has yet to come in my opinion.

Gamaran is a possibility, but I don't think it's strong enough, neither can it be expanded enough. I really like Code: Breaker, and it's pretty popular but then again, not to the point where it can succeed over the major series. It's really too bad that Kekkaishi ended, I was hoping so much for that one 🙁
I'm quite disappointed with D.Gray-Man, didn't quite live up to the standard. And it's on monthly too.
I agree with Bakuman and Double Arts. Seriously, Double Arts have so much potential, why do they have to cut it > <
Don't even say anything about KHR. I still read it, but only for the sake of reading it. It never quite reached the level of Bleach or Naruto. Sigh.
In my opinion, Fairy Tail is already on par with the major series. But perhaps it's a biased opinion, since I'm quite a fan of the author 😀
I also agree with Magico!! It's still a bit rough, due to it being the first series of the author and everything, but I can see the potential!!
I wonder if Nobuyuki Anzai is going to start another series? I really enjoyed MAR and his art is just beautiful~
Oh and how can I forgot about Beelzebub!! Definitely climbing to the top, with it getting an anime and all. 😀

Hmmm, as an update, these are the ones I would see getting up to a similar level as Bleach and Naruto and, I suppose, One Piece (though it would be difficult to see anything catching up with the best selling manga in history any time soon 🤣 )
-
Toriko (love this manga so much! It is so much fun!) And, as of the announcements in chapter 140 (if I remember correctly) this manga is quite popular, having sold over 7,500,000 copies with only 13 books currently out.
-
Beelzebub I would assume that this is pretty popular, though I don't recall any volume sale announcements off the top of my head. It also has what a shounen needs to be at the top, with its fights, humor, and engaging characters.
-
Fairy Tail It is already really well known (one of the series everyone tends to at least hear about) and also has the whole friendship, humor, fights, etc. thing that can make a shounen successful.

Fairy Tail is a good possible successor but the only thing holding it back is it's similarities to One Piece right now. Though it's core elements to have the making of an extremely well thought out manga, in the end it is too similar. It's definitely a cut above the other two of the big three though.

Anyone following the current rankings in Shounen Jump?
For the last month or so, Beelzebub has been in the top 3 while for the past several months, Bleach has pretty much fallen to the middle of the rankings. Prior to this, Beelzebub had been slowly climbing the rankings and was placing in the top 5 quite regularly.
So there is your answer. While a gag/fighting manga may not be to the tastes of online fandoms, it appears it's hit big three status among readers of Shounen Jump.

well, beelzebub gives of a real shounen jump feeling, it´s exactly what can be considered as mainstream shounen but still entertaining. Bleach got lost somewhere because Kubo just makes to big plans and thinks the fans will endure his overly long boring arcs until we finally get to a real climax again. Not very nice of him. Naruto has war and One Piece... well it´s One Piece.

Maybe. But IIRC in Japan One Piece is clearly the most popular of the Big 3 while out here in the U.S. and on online reading websites, it has been Naruto. Bleach's international popularity is what keeps in the Big 3.

Although, I would like to see Fairy Tail to be as awesome as One piece...
IMO it's already surpassed One Piece's potential, it just hasn't had the same history. Give it two years and the polls will show.
OP's massive strength lay in it's ability to come up with more and more places and people, all the time, making for brand new reading experiences over and over. FT manages that, too, but in a more plausible manner, which I find pretty refreshing. After the millionth deformed person I meet in OP, I start wondering if there are more normal or abnormal people.

At the rate it's going, Fairy Tail is far from reaching anything even close to One Piece's potential, which is constantly going beyond the fan's expectations. IMO, Mashima can hardly make a decent Fairy Tail arc, incapable of rivaling that of Skypeia, Enies Lobby, or even the Whitebeard War.

sure enough...kekkaishi,beelzebub and fairy tail are popular but they're far from reaching the big three's level
i mean they do have millions of fans but they lack those "hardcore" fans , i've met people who pretty much live for one piece, naruto&bleach(eventhough i dont get why people go lala over them)

Toriko.
In one of the more recent (maybe 4 weeks ago?) Shounen Jump magazine color pages (where all the manga artists of SJ collaborate and draw a main character for the page) Toriko's main character replaced Bleach's usual spot, next to One Piece and Naruto in the front and has also been rapidly gaining popularity (faster than any other newcomer manga artist since Naruto and Onepiece, as far as I can tell)
That in itself is a pretty big indicator that we may not even need to wait for one of the Big Three to finish before Toriko completely overtakes one of them.
