back to topic:
maybe code breaker could become a successor...its from the author of the popular manga sdk after all...

Well, Naruto could have only 100 chapters less or it could go on for another 300, there's no knowing if the author will throw in twists or whatnot. It does seem like it'll end soon, since most of the villains are out of commission, but there's no way to know for sure.

As far as a next top manga, I think it's guaranteed at least that it will be a Shonen and probably be in Shonen Jump. Popularity is based on numbers of readers, and the largest body of readers (in Japan at least) is the younger audiences. This pretty much rules out Sienen, sadly, As older readers will read Jump for the nostalgia and charm but I think most younger readers would probably shy away from Sienen.

My personal pick would have to be Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn, I think it has the memorable characters, solid artwork, and charm that's necessary for such a title. D.Gray Man is a pretty close second, though I wonder how long the series will actually run. Psyren is good, and personally one of my favorites, but the cast is still loose and it's a little more adult than some of the other series. Of course, this could change. Beelzebub and Cage of Eden are just far too new to tell.

Just my two cents.

i dont think cage of eden is even gonna get deep enough even though it is good
it will probably only run for like 6 volumes or something

I'm With you ... This will be a huge series if what im hoping does happends. BUT i dont want it to become another bleach, where the plot goes to some weird development and then everything goes plain bad, but looking as the last 3 chapters i can see how things will turn up with another demon being added to the stuff and some weird "im not the only one with a demon" king of thing 😀 .

And about the other series people named here... they have been on printing for a while and they werent able to get on par with (naruto, one piece, (sad) bleach) so... we cant reall put them as a remplacement. Heck even takkoku have more chances to become a reemplacement than d-grayman or claymore

I don't think One Piece will be ending soon. 10 years and we're only at the 'halfway' point. As a successor to any of them though, I would love to see Gintama, Reborn! or Beelzebub, even though personally I believe that Beelzebub and Gintama are good enough to enter on their own, rather than be replacements.

You know what series can maybe get some huge boost if one of those 3 ends. Ubel Blatt that one got some spaces to improve but dont look like it will be a long series so... cant really tell.

Whenever I think of the successor of the Big 3 (BLEACH/Naruto/One Piece), for me its hard to think which series is best one for that position.

As everyone says, Claymore and D. Gray man are the best titles for the next successor, and then my personal choice Eyeshield 21.

They first need to meet a couple of criteria.

1) They must have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge variety of characters - so, lots and lots and lots of characters!

2) Every character gets his/her own "characterization/flashback" at some time in the manga.

3) It starts light and easy, but as the chapters progress, the plot starts to reveal itself which opens a whole world of possibilities that the mangaka can choose from.

4) Hierarchy, it needs some hierarchy! 🤣

5) "Comedy", with other words lightheartedness, it can't be too serious...

Etcetera.

Potential winners?
Berserk
Claymore
Gantz

which unfortunately, these three have lacking in no. (5).

 🙁

Hunter X Hunter is potentially good if....it doesnt sway off from no. (3)...

GTO is already completed, it could have been the winner back then XD

and only time will tell if the Beelzebub mangaka decides to go through criteria no. (3)

Mmm, yes a succsesor to the Big Three (Naruto, One Piece and Bleach) would be hard to find, and seeing them now it would be Naruto or Bleach that ends first.

But I personaly think that 1/2 Prince is a candidate as it has the potential (she sade she would beat the game and the only way that would be possible would be to counquer the five continents under Infiniet Halmet and that could make the serie long, but it have andvanced to fast for its amount of chapters), and it is funny.

Psyren is also a candidate in my taste since u could follow them after the day of rebirth and then years into the future without time traveling.

And ofc Beelzebub have to be nominated.

But I most also say that it I think that there is now, not one that could succsed them realy. And lets not foget, we want succsessors and not replacers when they are gone. Good topic btw
