I've been totally obsessed with Code Geass right now, and the only other anime i can compare to this is Deathnote, I was just wondering who you guys think would win between Kira and Zero.

Zero would totally kill Kira with the Geass. Kira couldn't kill zero without knowing his name and he is powerless without it.

I guess you can hi-jack someones idea, but you'll never understand their plan for its success.

Kira. He's way smarter than Lelouch. Only downside though, is that he's too arrogant, and might underestimate his opponent at the final battle.

if its a battle of wits, I'd say kira/light. Zero/lelouch is also very intelligent but Light is much more adaptive, a much faster thinker. whereas lelouch is not able to adapt as well when things dont go as planned or something unexpected happens.
I think that a battle between these two would lead to many unexpected events for both parties and the one that is able to adjust and remain calm so as to come up with the next course of action will win hence my reasoning for saying Light

zero would win.... even if kira discovered that zero is lelouch, he would go with lelouch lamperouge(is the name right?) while his real name is lelouch vi britannia, one thing that even his "close friends" don't know....

What I am wondering about is how the death note would affect CC. Although it can kill any person in the death note manga, CC appears to be immortal so I'm not sure what would happen.

Edit before I have even finished typing: I just checked the rules for the death note and it said that it doesn't work on anyone over 120 years old. I think several brief flashbacks in code geass implied that CC was older than that.

Anyway I think that Zero vs Kira would probably be a stalemate. Kira would probably kill off all members of the black knights whose identities were publicly known, but throughout the death note manga I don't remember him going out of his way to find the identity of a criminal unless it was directly related to him, he would usually let the police find them.

zero would have an advantage, his special ability is much more superior than kira's.

Kira's intelligence always appeared very artificial to me- the story was always one track so I get the feeling he can't adapt to situations. His character type was supposed to be the godly 200+ IQ who gets superior powers from the shinigami but the story, to give it the thriller attributes is composed in such a way that it ignores adaptability- there are so many flaws in his strategies that aren't taken up just because the author wants him to be amazing but I always find Lulu's intelligence much more genuine, especially since the flaws in his plans are often pointed out and he overcomes these (he also often tries things with only a hope of them working when desperate; Kira is too 'clean' and overconfident...) so considering they both have amazing supernatural powers it comes down to a battle of wits, in which Lulu looks to me like a clear winner.
