no one read Doraemon.....I feel so old.......

The funny thing is, I thought ares6 was young since he has the Naruto and DDR avatar. 😉

now now, you never know if I am telling the truth or not. I might be a 10 year old or I might be an old man already half in his coffin. 😎

I must say, the first cartoon I ever saw was the black and white version of Mickey Mouse made from our dear Disney production.

Oh yeah, by the way, My avatar is moving, but since my Firewall is on Alert, it is paused.

...i started reading manga since ..i dunno when..but my brother used to read them to me (coz i didnt know how to read yet mad )....

Haha, I've never heard of the "family member reads to another" situation, but that probably happens more in the Asian countries where manga is more mainstream. 😉 But it must be sort of interesting to have another person read a manga to you, especially if they try to do all the different voicing like older people do when reading with kids. Maybe it's like low-budget anime like with Kare Kano when Gainax did episode 19. 🤣 ... 😲 🤢 The family setup was cuter than the Gainax way though.

that is a common misconception, when i went to China to visit, those kids don't read a lot of Manga. It's either games, or cartoons, or books. And yes, I saw Garfield in China too......freaky ehh? Those kids were asking me what lasagna is......

So then we moved away from Japan and I was oblivious to what manga/anime was until one day 1998 when i was 11 years old my friend showed me orotsukidouji (hentai/tentacles/blood) <.< so I guess that was my first anime or hentai

Ouch, 11 years old? Are you sure you didn't get scarred from that? ^_^;

I've been watching anime since I was like 2 years old when my sister tried to shut me up buy putting a pillow on my head when watching sailor moon 🤢 tho i can't say I remember anything of that. So then we moved away from Japan and I was oblivious to what manga/anime was until one day 1998 when i was 11 years old my friend showed me orotsukidouji (hentai/tentacles/blood) <.< so I guess that was my first anime or hentai

oh my.........that is quite disturbing......no offense but it sounds like something out of Berserk......11 years old is quite young.........

I was 5 when i first saw it. The cartoon I watched the most was probably Garfield, the animated series.

when I was 6 or 7 pokemon was huge, so of course I watched it. I even had the cards.
& then my grandpa sent me a video cassette (omigawd that long ago xP) of sailormoon the doom tree chronicles when I was 7-ish & I would watch it over&over again.
I didn't even know the term "anime" when I was so little.. but then like 7 months ago I was bored with my computer & it was summer vaca so I somehow found inuyasha on youtube & watched all the eps. my first manga was fruits basket, which I found after watching the anime
& so started the addiction xP
I think I'm getting better now, putting schoolwork before computer time. (I have to keep my grades over 85 or my parents won't let me see my friends)

Heh....my boys got hooked on manga about the same time I did (~5 years ago) because we all read Ranma 1/2 together. (Before that we were reading Calvin & Hobbes over and over and over and over...) They would have been about 6 years old, just learning to read. They've got several series they follow devotedly, but they're not too interested in reading on the computer and nowhere near as hooked as I am (yet!).

I suppose, very mildly. I mean, there's the old guy who's a panty thief (which is played for laughs), and the occasional bare boob shot (in a comic context), but that's really about it. Nothing I consider objectionable, really quite innocent overall.
