Yeah, I thought so at first too but later on I sorta got used to it and I guess it's okay now. BW's voice acting was generally better in my opinion but that might just be because I'm too accustomed to the old voice cast.

there is no LAN feature at all, you will need to connect to bnet even to play campaign mode

especially when not long ago blizzard has taken out 3 hacker communities which tried to make bnet2 emulation.

I've been playing since the beta, and it's really fun, especially the multiplayer. Of course, I liked the original a lot as well, though that was a game really hard to learn.

What's most exciting is the potential of the game for esports, which really hasn't developed outside of South Korea by this point. Brood War's like a national sport in Korea, but never quite got to the level of "sport" in the US and EU. With SC2 however, it seems like that'll change; there's professional teams forming sponsored by real companies, and there have been a ton of tournaments in the beta with cash prizes (currently it's usually like $2000 for first place, but now that it's been released and isn't just in beta it'll probably be worth more).

It's fun to watch as well, which helps get better at the game. www.teamliquid.net is the absolute best place for info on SC2 and BW, and it's pretty much the major hub for esports fans outside of Korea.

I'm not much of a gamer these days, but from the screens I've seen, I'd say Limbo seems way more interesting than Starcraft (it looks utterly gorgeous!!) ... too bad it's only on Microshit's console at the moment >_>

As for Starcraft II, I have good memories of the first one, but doubt I'll be playing .... seems to be popular, but I've not read any reviews yet. Hope all those that bought it get their money's worth.
