My first anime was probably Sailor Moon...though I don't remember much about it. My dad use to record it for me when I was 5 years old and we would watch it together. He would also tell me what happened if I forgot/missed an episode 😀

Now that I look back...I probably watched Princess Mononoke numerous times when I was 7 before ever watching pokemon. 🤣 My dad taped it just for me~use to watch it all the time with my brother (5 years old? lol) when my mom was doing overtime at work.
The anime that got me obsessed with anime was...Naruto. A friend introduced me to it back in 7th grade and I never looked back since then.

First manga...I would say it was Pokemon Adventures. I didn't know what manga was at the time. My mom brought it home for brother, but I ended up reading it.

First anime... either pokemon or yugioh, whichever one I saw first. I didn't really watch them though; they would come on cartoon network or something, and if I felt like it, I'd watch an episode...

WAIT. DRAGONBALL Z. It's dragonball z. I don't remember much at all though, cause when I was four or five, I saw this part where the villain underwent a transformation, powering up and all (it was the green dude- nope, don't remember his name) and for some odd reason it scared me shitless- needless to say I chose not to watch it anymore.

First manga: Naruto.

I didn't even realize the anime were anime until I got into manga and stuff...

First anime: Sailor Moon. It was on TV every morning right before I went to the kindergarten, so I used to watch it while taking breakfast. I still remember mom's sour look whenenever she saw it on... 😀 (yes, she hates anime.) However, it had me hooked. 🤨 Now, I can barely bear to watch one episode.
First manga: I've always thought it was Ouran High School Host Club, but now that I think about it some more, it was actually Rurouni Kenshin. Dad bought the first volume for himself one day and after reading it, he left it lying around. Of course, like the curious kid I was, I picked it up and read it. The reading order didn't trouble me for too long, but the honorifics... I had no idea what they were and read them as part of the names. 🙄
Of course, I didn't realize what Sailor Moon and Rurouni Kenshin were until later (around 7th grade).

My first anime was probably dragon ball although at that time i didn't even know what was an anime, i knew what was an anime by the time i was watching evangelion on locomotion.
My first manga was about gundam, at that time i was so into that manga that i ended helping a fansub then they forced me to help on naruto (at that time i didn't like naruto) and by the time i realised i was more into reading manga than watching anime

Maybe Dragon Ball, the first manga that made me crying 😀

I saw my first anime when I was four, it was Sailor Moon dubbed to Swedish.
My firsrt manga was a dropped Korean series called Ragnarök. Also in Swedish. I still hate Myung jin Lee for dropping it.

My first was Spirited away. I'm not sure if this counts being a movie but its the first one I saw. Pokemon was my first anime series though i didn't know what anime was at the time and Full Metal Alchemist was the first manga i read i think.

The word 'studying' was made up of two words originally - 'students dying'.

First anime.. Ronin Warriors, followed closely by Sailor Moon. >.>;

My first anime was Pokemon, as I imagine the case to be for many, many people here in America.

The first manga I ever read was Immortal Rain. Thanks to a wonderful first experience I still love good shoujo romances to this day.

My first anime was shaman king. Me,my brother and cousins used to watch it together on tv when I was 10 ...I didn't know back then that what an anime is dragon ball z soon followed it ...my first manga was bleach or naruto

That's imposible, i do remember that it was one of this list:

Dragon Ball
Detective Conan
Sailor Moon (and i'm a guy)
Sakura card captor
Orphen (i had a pretty sad time reading orphen manga because of this, since it sucks)
Mahou Kishi Rayearth (it was translated as Magic Knights at the time)
Enki ( i still remember the English opening for that one)
Saint Seya ( In spanish it was "Caballeros del Zodiaco" and i remember my grandma singing the opening song)

They all were on T.V. About the same time so i can't tell.

I do remember my first Manga, I bought the first few Volumes of YuYu when i was a little kid, i still have them with me, they are very special. 😀
