My first anime was Pokemon when I was like 4, but my first "real" anime was Bleach dubbed.
My first manga was Hatenkou Yuugi after I watched the anime (which does not do the manga any justice). For the longest time, I only watched anime, but this storyline intrigued me to the point where I needed to know more and actually pick up a manga.

My first manga was Fruits Basket and I acutally cannot remember my first anime. I really like manga better than anime, just because I am a book person. But I really think that my first anime might have been Mushishi (and I am now reading that manga). Oh, and if it does count Spirited Away would be my first anime.

I was around 5-6 years old when I watched all the Sailor Moons from the movie rental store I went to. I didn't know it was anime. I thought it was a cartoon from the United-States because I knew it was somehow different from other movies. Next came stuff like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Digimon when I was around 9+, by that time I still wasn't aware that it was anime. I caught a few late episodes of Naruto once. As for when I actually knew what was anime, I can't remember because I watched a bit here and there some anime that were based on a few manga I love. Hayao Miyazaki movies came before that though since they were easy to find and I think I saw them in some comercials.
I was 7 when a girl showed me a manga at a camp. I loved it but I could never find it in stores. I gave up. The name was very complicated. When I was 10 I found "Record of a fallen Vampire" and starting from there I continued to read a lot of manga. A few months later I found my first manga but I wasn't interested in it anymore. I still can't remember it's name but if I saw it in a store, I'd reconize it.
Live your life, don't just pass time in it.
